Calling me Kentucky dumbest fan for wanting the program in a better long term position is backwards.
This isn’t anti SEC emotion it's pro Kentucky logic.
Kentucky is a basketball brand, not a football accessory. And right now, the SEC is built to maximize football value, even when it comes at the expense of its biggest basketball asset: Kentucky
Meanwhile, the Big Ten offers things that directly benefit Kentucky basketball
Largest TV revenue with multiple partners (FOX, CBS, NBC)
More consistent officiating
Stronger, more reliable NCAA Tournament positioning
League office that protects its marquee brands

I’ve mentioned it before like us changing conferences for football for us to be in the acc or big ten in football because we’re so bad at football we would compete better in those conferences. Your talking about basketball big 12 or big ten I would even take acc you get Duke Carolina every year so why not.

Problem is we are the King of the SEC in Basketball. Walking out at this point would be a huge mistake and would make us look scared. Right when competition got better, we walk out? No. There is no reason why we shouldn't have a top 5 team every year like Duke. It starts at the AD.

The point of my rant about changing conferences isn’t that Kentucky should leave tomorrow it’s about leverage. Kentucky should use its position to force real change within the conference.
There are things that clearly need to change. Why does Kentucky have to play the top preseason ranked team in the SEC twice every single year? That’s not competitive balance that’s branding one program to prop up another.
We also need real transparency in officiating. Fans deserve to know how officials are assigned to each game, and there should be public grading of officials after games, similar to how the NBA handles it. Accountability matters.
If the SEC isn’t willing to make things better or even have those conversations, then Kentucky should absolutely explore other options and if that means going to the Big Ten and making more money while getting better governance, so be it.
