Rhule never burned it down and it was his biggest mistake. He tried to put lipstick on a pig.

Butler was right. Talent is the issue. Rhule not seeing it is a big big red flag.

So who’s to blame??? All I can say the coaches recruited all of them… is it talent, poor coaching evaluations or lack of development??? I think it’s a combination of all three… BUT Rhule bargain hunting in the portal is to blame BIG TIME… we knew during the summer that HE NEEDED to REPLACE 2 big Defensive linemen & what did he do, went with Jeudy, got George & ?? In the portal and teams ran it down our throats!!!!! It’s all on him!!!

I see no way out of this constant coaching circle of doom. Spend money recruit good but same old crappola.

Starting over is the ONLY way you get out of this situation.

Anyone who believes we can just repair this with some patches are likely the same people who ignore rotten floor joists and studs when renovating and just put new drywall over it. Every team is turning its roster over regularly anyway. Might as well tear it down and start over

It all starts at having good personnel analyzing players and choosing the right guys…and not falling in love with stats or stars. Look at Iowa players, they have a system that identifies black & blue players and it shows on the field… Rhule can’t pick a portal player if his life depended on it ( look at the defensive tackles he choose in the portal) yes he gets one or two to play good, but strikes out 8 out of 10… until they become great at choosing good portal or H.S. Players will continue to slide into mediocrity

Spent a lot of money on a QB who can’t run.

Might as well. We have absolutely nothing to build on for next year. I wouldn't be surprised if we are picked 17th or 18th in the conference next year

Not hiring coaches that know how to actually develop players is what got us here

Not really, because we’re losing at least 7 games next year either way.

Coaches need to follow. Brining in new ingredients when the cook is the same is madness.

Coaching matters. Rhule is just a bad football coach. He’s 0-20 vs ranked teams. Numbers don’t lie

You can scheme and coach around talent deficiencies. This is beyond that.

We just finished year 3. Do you really think we’re going to be better next year with this roster and staff?

We’d have to get the same amount that left to come in from other places. But honestly, we can probably trade rosters with almost any team and it would be an improvement in talent.

Agreed. There isn’t a single player on the team that I would be upset if they left.

I can’t think of 3 B1G programs that are worse than we are on Dec 31, 2025. Three consecutive massive blowouts to close the season. Rhule has lost his team and I’m sure has lost confidence from boosters and regents.
