Settle down. There were people on HOB and KSBoard that were in a Pitino love fest after his UofL tenure while Cal was coach. Doesn't make people fake. There was a collection of fans, including myself, that didn't want Pope when he got hired. I said after he got hired that I'd rather just run it back with Cal then bring on the Pope era. The peak of the Cal era is what a lot of fans still fawn over and yearn for.

Apparently according to these idiots, it doesn't matter. It was time for him to go. It doesn't matter that the 25 class at UK was trending to be his best ever. It doesn't matter that Pope is on pace to be the worst coach in UK history. I know he left. THAT matters. The idea that UK is better off is absolutely false though.

He’s a great coach, great. Just because he hit a slump doesn’t mean he wasn’t going to win again. Our giving up on him was a huge favor to Arkansas. They‘ve been thanking us since day one, and they’re really thanking us today.
