who? I haven't seen much of SLU. Judging from what portions of the game I saw last night, I'm thinking a more athletic version of Nebraska maybe (?) Although it doesn't seem as though they are nearly as dependent on 3-pt shooting (or maybe it was just because they seemed to get whatever they wanted to against UGA so they didn't need to settle for three's).

By the time the game starts the closest comp will be the 96 Chicago Bulls lol.
They have some Nebraska/Iowa in them but I’m not sure there is a perfect comp. They play spread/5 out and a lot of motion and cutting.
I don’t think their pick/roll game is as much a feature as Purdue, who is elite at that. But eye discipline and passing lane integrity will be KEY.

For once I would like to see us go at a guy. Avila has no shot against any of our 3 bigs. Let’s get him in foul trouble early. No way can he hold off any of those guys from establishing position in the post, run with them up the court, cover them in the post, etc. get him in foul trouble and then hit the boards hard.

This is why I was kinda mad we didn’t get to face Nebraska fully healthy because Mast is easily the best comparison to Avila in the big ten.

Honestly not sure if we have seen a team like them. Healthy Nebraska would have been the closest thing offensively, defensively they have similar principles to us although they have not seen a team that dominates the interior like we do.

Also I think it’s important to note that Georgia’s defense is terrible and has been all seasonHighly efficient offense that’s pretty much a read and react system…lots of cuts, paint touches and kick out threes…Nebraska is a decent comp but not on the defensive end

I can’t see them leaving Avila in an island with Mara too often. And when they do, Avila will likely just play sound D as opposed to fouling. For once I would like to see us go at a guy. No comp out there. Shoot 40% from 3 and a top 20 pace, yet are a team in the 30s in metrics.

Aside from Georgia, I'd say these are St. Louis's most impressive performances. They went 1-2 against Dayton, btw.
