I have fond memories of Fran's tenure. Loved that he could control his hot temper. Never went full Bobby Knight as I remember, but the stare down with the ref was epic.

Newman Arena, at 4400 bench seats, is a far cry from the almost 18,000 stadium seats in Gainbridge Fieldhouse where he won the Big Ten tournament.
