1st question Jack Who gave Scobey the green light on the 3-0?

New levels of ineptitude. Also, further indication that these don’t listen to the coaches like last year’s guys don’t listen to the coaches.

He definitely missed a sign. You could tell by PMs reaction

No. 2d question. First question was whether he pulled Valentin over the deadly dinosaur threat you revealed.

Well, damn. We played good ball tonight. Tip your hat to the freshman in that last at-bat.
I wouldn’t say getting only 1 hit and leaving 9 runners on base is playing good ball

WHY!?!?!?! I knew when he pulled Valentin we’d lose.

It was one hell of a pitchers duel. Taking a No-No for 26 outs is pretty damn good IMHO. edit: doesn’t mean I’m not pissed off we ended up losing. That’s shit sucks.

You shouldn’t need a sign to know to take there, this teams baseball iq is abysmal. That’s on Scobey.

Yeah. I think he went into stealing mode because he wanted to try and use Valentin twice this weekend.

Of note, that's several hours of our lives that we'll never get back.

We faced 95-100 all night. Solid defensively. We held them to one hit through regulation. I only remember two errors at the plate. Scobey really needed to watch at least one pitch, maybe two. Early in the game the UF pitcher hung a breaking ball waste high and we pulled it foul….that‘s as close to putting it on a tee as you’re going to get in our conference. Other than those two, I don’t remember any horrible, non-competitive at-bats. Two of the pitchers we faced will go in the first five rounds/

Look guys, there’s seven other teams in the league who lost tonight. It’s baseball! Losses happen. See don’t you feel better now knowing that??

KJ Scobey should turn in his jersey after his AB in the ninth.

That was my take as well…..I guess it could have been a “I wish I would have given him the take” reaction…we’ll know tomorrow. To be clear, I hate losing too. Especially the close ones when you play really good, competitive baseball for 50+ outs. Some teams get over the hump and have the belief/confidence that helps them win most of those. Some teams end up losing 15 one-run games. We’ve seen the Cocks on both sides of that equation.

We struck out 15 times! That’s about as non competitive as you can get. We also left 9 runners on base. I don’t care that they have 2 future first round picks. With the amount of base runners we had we should have been able to muster 1 run in 9 innings. Yes pitching and hitting were good but our hitting was abysmal tonight just like it’s been all season
