***Garror decommits...

Not a big surprise here. He is taking a lot of visits. We are told wants to be a straight edge guy, but Bama seems him more of a combo linebacker.

Don’t hate this… though I did like his game. We need more true Wolves in this class considering we’ll likely only return Justin Hill next season. Gonna need at least one Wolf in the portal, too.

Cool. now go get Antwann Jackson, KJ Green, and Adriel Rojas edit: and Anthony Sweeney if one of the others doesn’t work out

I think this in kind of confirming the staff may be moving away from Kanes swarm defense in the way they have been running it the last two years. For instance, I think the wolves and bandits will be more interchangeable and Justin Hill types (or in this case Chicken) will not be as featured moving forward. Not saying, Justin Hill won’t be a big part of the defense, just that the staff may be moving away from the hybrid linebacker the end types

I’d prefer any of Fred Ards/Rashad Streets/Anthony Sweeney/ Desmond Malpress over Rojas

I think this is more of a took a player two years ago and he didn't grow into a pure wolf type that they have been recruiting. Guys like Ards, Jackon etc. My .02.

Hes kind of caught between no man’s land and doesn’t really have a position at the moment. I think he’s too small for what we’re going for on the edge and in my humble arm chair quarterback opinion he doesn’t move well enough to be a backer. Plenty of wolf options out there.

With the amount of wolf candidates they have offered I agree. I do think Chicken will be a good player.

I thought the same, but the way the way they are using the wolf’s/bandits this year got me thinking differently. Wouldn’t you say Garror’s size skill set was very similar to Justin Hill’s at the same stage?

I personally would not. Justin was a wolf all the way. So much in fact OSU told him they would create packages just for him.

Just out of curiosity, what differences do you see? I know you watched a ton of Hill his senior year so I’m genuinely curious

I think Hill is quicker and more flexible off the edge. I think Garror was more powerful and has straight line speed.
