This has a potential to be the smallest home crowd we’ve had in my lifetime and it will be for an 18-3 team (best start in how long?). I really hate the move of the game to Nashville, which puts us at a huge disadvantage.
Is there a way to get Vandy fans who already had other plans to cancel those plans and come to the game?
Is there a way to get new Vandy fans?
Any alumni that maybe want to help by attending and cheering on the Does who normally wouldn’t be there?
Any thoughts?
I hate closing the year with 3 brutal road games. I hope Vandy was forced to do this and wasn’t complicit. Bad break or bad decision?

Idk I think it’ll be better than a lot of people are suggesting. Tuesday was a nightmare and it was a great crowd with not that much blue

My fear is that I know what 5,000 fans looks like in that building, and it’s not that impressive. It’s nowhere close to being able to intimidate an opponent like our gym can do when the building has 10k or more in there. If we’re going to have any sort of advantage, I’d have to think the students have to completely sell out their section and be heard the whole game.Idk I think it’ll be better than a lot of people are suggesting. I’d get on the radio/tv/socials and offer all seats for $10. Sit where you want. Or better yet, just say it’s a freebie. All welcome. Those that purchased can Pat themselves on the back for supporting the team.

My husband and I are going Saturday. I had already bought a ticket for the game when it was originally scheduled, and was able to grab a ticket for the seat next to me for $16 (including fees) for him. At least there won't be as many Ole Miss fans as UT, Kentucky, Auburn, or Bama fans.

Depth perception is actually very important, which is why the memorial layout works so well for us (who are used to shooting in it). It’s still an advantage for us even if it’s not a gigantic crowd.Obviously, I’d love to be made fun of and slightly to heavily ridiculed for being a nervous Nelly about this. My hope is that things have maybe improved enough with the power being restored some and roads being cleared, that folks, especially Vandy fans, are ready to do something that feels like things are trending to towards returning to normal. And what could be more normal than watching Vandy win at Memorial Gym? With my power back on, that is certainly the case with this Vandy fan.
