It took just over 4 months

For everything Bruce built to come crumbling down. Bruce built this program on hustle, defense, and grit and this team has none of it. They look disinterested. Not to mention Neville is a non-factor. It’s a home game against a top 25 SEC opponent and I’m seeing open seats and the Arena’s quiet. I’m sure glad I got to see the Final 4 run last year.

It’s disappointing we don’t go get Will Wade. SP may end up being the goat, but he didn’t deserve the job without prior HC experience. I say this and I am a big supporter of SP and want him to do great

Yep the timing forced our hand. I’m not out on SP, but this has been ROUGH. Effort and defense would go a long way and for me that’s the bare minimum

Honestly it doesn’t matter who the coach is Auburn has to make more of a commitment to the resource part $$$

I do agree with that, but an experienced proven coach can somewhat override that

Pressure will be mounted going into next year. And he’ll have to replace 10+ guys lol

Yes Bruce legit screwed us so hard. I wish they did an interim situation for a season before they signed him to a deal. It honestly seems like Bruce put Auburn in that spot so SP could 100% get the job

It’s his first season all we can do is let it play out

We have some really lazy players, especially on the defensive end

When you hire an unqualified coach to replace a legend that’s what happens. Worst part is, this’ll be the best roster Steven has here. Program is completely cooked in its current state with a bad coach and no funding

How much better would Bruce have been with Tahaad playing like this, Magwood, Walker and Bashir being non factors? Maybe a couple games. This year would’ve been real hard either way

I believe we would be 17-6 or better with Bruce.

If you're not a good on the floor coach you need to be good at recruiting, you can't be bad at both!!

The roster definitely has its flaws, but I find it hard to believe the product would be this bad with Bruce at the helm

Bruce’s energy and passion is probably worth at least 2 more Ws imo. As they say, a team takes on the personality of the HC

Given the way he got the job, not sure sp can survive 2

We are one of the worst teams in the country in 1 and 2 possession games this season. Have to think Bruce would have been good for several more wins, all else being equal

Doesn’t matter if this the effort we give …. Just like at Missouri. But hey if blaming NIL makes you feel better go for it

100% agree Steven Pearl just stands there and watches with his arms crossed and doesn’t coach, no direction whatsoever just walks back n forth pouting and breaking things. This cannot be a multi year opportunity it’s been that bad to me, the team has no flow offense or defense it truly feels like they are playing pickup basketball.
