Sherrell didn’t have much of a chance there, but I don’t disagree that it would be nice to have someone who can consistently dunk it with authority. The whole “loading up” to slam it with him is frustrating. He’s shown a ton of power at times this year, but it just hasn’t been consistent

Has anyone ever heard AS speak? He absolutely shows no killer instinct on the court, like he was thrust out there due to spite.

He is 6'11 and caught the ball cleanly. I would have liked to have seen Philon get a shot up. However, getting your big a look 2 feet from the basket wasnt an awful situation. Dam near every big in the country flushes that or at minimum draws a clear foul. We unfortunately have 2 that can't be counted on!

On top of that he caught the ball with his back to the basket, had to turn around and try to get the shot up quickly. No time to gather and go up strong. But I do agree with OP that we need a couple bigs that can get on the rim in a hurry, bigs with some bounce.

Most bigs want to catch it with their back to the basket... Really no excuse for Sherrel to not finish or draw a foul in that situation. Philon got caught in no man's land and unfortunately our bigs play like they're 5'11

It was literally 4 on 2 in about a 2 foot circle. Philon drove, they collapsed, and instead of kicking it out to someone open, Philon dumped it off to Sherrell. Not great odds, regardless of Sherrell was 8 feet tall.

Sherell struggles to finish bc he is a slow twitch athlete. He takes to long to finish. Also, he has awful hands.

In Sherrell’s defense, he was screwed on the last second shot attempt. I’d like Philon to take it all the way or kick out for 3. However, the amount of times Sherrell gets blocked at 6’10/6’11 is mind boggling to me. Maybe I’m bias against my own team because I watch them more but I feel like he gets his shot blocked/altered a lot easier than other bigs
