Get this fucking loser out. I'm so disgusted what college sports have become and the Big Ten has been front and center at ruining it, starting with Delaney creating the Big Ten Network. Petitti is a fucking CLOWN!

As I said in another thread, the day SCum and other favored programs are treated the same as us will never happen. Expecting this to be fixed by the corrupt dipshits in charge now is a fools errand.

There is too much flexibility in the rules for the athletes as it is. He wants more. His view is diametrically opposed to that of Izzo, Saban, Calipari. He's actually supporting the breaking of rules on the books and not enforcing instead of changing the rules.

You think creating BTN was a bad thing?

That was a strange comment. Without BTN were miles south of the SEC in revenue sharing. Glorified ACC

Right? Defending this tampering stuff is outrageous, but BTN was/is massive for the conference.

Same dingle berry that wrote a letter to the NCAA urging them not to punish MI. Being a Spartan fan is beginning to feel like living in the Twilight Zone.

In a vacuum the BTN is amazing. As a kid I remember my dad having to call my aunt in Michigan (long distance!) to listen to the radio over the phone because that was the only way we do it. I think the BTN was the first major step that got us to where we are today. It was all about how the Big Ten was richer than everyone else. The money exploded and now we have TV executives running conferences and it's more about the entertainment dollars than the game.

The creation of BTN and the NCAA not being willing/able to see NIL legislation coming from miles away and getting prepared for it aren't at all related. The onus is entirely on the NCAA for the spot we're in now, IMO.

I think all the money created by the BTN started to shift the focus from what it was to creating maximum revenue at all costs. Maybe it was inevitable.

lol what do you think would happen when they hired a loser tv executive. It’s maybe the second biggest scumbag industry behind politics.

Also, this where we need leadership with the ADs…. Calling you Batt. Or at least some brave media members to ask the ADs about this. Sports journalists are all so wimpy though.
