No. He’s not even on the list not even the short list. Our new coach will more than likely come from the hot board outside of Jedd of course.

The guy who hasn't been a college coach in over 20 years, probably cannot relate to kids and has zero clue about NIL stuff... Image

And for good reason.

I would actually look into this. I said it a couple years ago. He may not want to deal with the whole NIL stuff though.

On paper, amazing. NFL players love him and his energetic style would translate. Also as good an Xs and Os guy as you'll find. Risk is that he just hasn't done anything in college in ages.

Don’t forget, he didn't exactly kill it during his previous NFL head coaching stint. Nothing about this guy is appealing whatsoever … including his Michigan State leanings.

He's had success as a coordinator, but not as a head coach. Looked a little overwhelmed, to be honest. I'd personally like an existing college head coach who has been successful.

Yes, please. We need someone who is competent, and not going to play us for time/money. If LSU can get their guy in their terms, so can we. We just need a backbone.

No? Lmfao you think Dillingham is a better football coach than Salah?? That guy has coached some of the best defenses in the NFL over the past 5 to 10 years and also has head coaching experience. Every single player who’s ever played for that guy has loved him and he’s also an elite defensive schematic guy. He would also be a very good recruiter. He’s coached in Super Bowls. He knows how to develop defensive players and again every player who’s ever played for that guy loves him. This would be a no-brainer home run higher if our athletic department wasn’t completely incompetent.

I’m really not sure why our higher-ups are not considering more NFL guys in this coaching search. It seems like our entire list is Deboer and then a bunch of mediocre 50-50 college coaches. I get that the timeline is difficult for the NFL, but if I’m in our athletic department, I’m pushing for Minter Brady Salah etc. these guys are all elite football minds who have nfl experience and have coached and developed at the highest level.

If anyone can relate to these young men, he can. He’s also very intelligent. As far as NIL, Robert can really pick up on things quickly. Would be a solid hire but I’m not so sure he wants to coach in college

No NFL guys unless it's Minter. We need coaches who understand how college football currently operates. And it would be nice to poach some players from another team too.

It’s insane to me how people on this board would rather have a mediocre college coach take this team over than a NFL coordinator who has coached in super bowls, has head coaching experience AND who is a players guy whose loved by all his past/present players.

He will get another shot as an NFL HC. Coming to UM would likely be a short stint. No thanks

I didn't know. Appreciate that intel. What happened to him? Got dropped on his head? How does that happen to someone seemingly intelligent?

Don’t forget someone who has a 20-36 record as a head coach in the NFL.
