Not only are 2 of our Offensive Tackles injured, with 1 out for the season, but we also have 4 Edge players that are dinged up. Wow.

Sounds like Beamer knew he would need surgery before coming back so they were not banking on him playing this year anyway.

Wtf has happened recently with all the injuries.

Might need Elijah Strong to hang around after basketball season is over because he might be our best option at left tackle.

That is also why he didn't get the offers from other schools he wanted.

Is this why Miami told him to kick rocks? Did Beamer and training staff know about this when taking him back? Does he get paid to sit for the year and then is he free to bail next year after getting paid to do nothing for South Carolina? If Beamer knew about these injuries with him when taking him back, I hope and pray they didn't break the bank, and hope they have some sort of guarantee written up that he will play for us next year.

That might work as he specializes in offense. But he would not cut it defensively… AT ALL!

He has a chance to be good again after surgery. He played well as a freshman. I'd bet a bad knee hurt his year last year. I'm not giving up on him just yet.

If this was a known, lingering issue that Thompson has been dealing with that Beamer knew would require surgery "a year or two ago," why the hell wouldn't he have the surgery as soon as possible after the season was over?

What is the surgery for? Knee? Back? Pinky Toe (I imagine it’s one big ass pinky toe)? Etc….?
