yup, OP, it was VFF who made that claim. The truth is that ZZ was not a good shooter or scorer. But he was elite defender and excellent assists. Gillespie is the opposite. Good scorer, not a good defender. Decent passer. Gillespie needs to tighten up his on-ball defense.

Gillespie has ran up his numbers against the HS teams we played. He’s shooting like 25% against the good teams we’ve played.

Gillespie easily the better scorer but he’s not in ZZ’s league as a defender or distributor.
