Interesting how different the perspective is on this between the boards. I've seen a lot of talk here about how we'll have to avoid rat poison in the off-season, while they seem to think there's no question Texas will be the national favorite, with the possible exception of Ohio State. We aren't even in consideration in their minds.

i wouldn't think overconfidence (rat poison) would be a concern of ours after that last performance

It matters to them because preseason is their highest ranking of the year.

I think both Rusty and Jake said that if Georgia went deep in the playoffs they might be preseason #1. I doubt they will be now, which is definitely better. Probably be a combination of Texas, Oregon (if qb comes back), Ohio St, UGA, and Indiana (if they win next week)

We will not get as much national respect as we should bc no one is really afraid of gunner, regardless what the rest of the roster may look like.

Hard to worry about Texas.
So insanely soft and that ain’t changing.
Rather worry about us and being about to generate and pass rush/push the ball down the field with explosives

Did they do anything to address their OL?

Preseason #1 worked very well for them this last season

Taking a look at their schedule, hardest games are home vs Ohio State, at Tennessee, Oklahoma in Dallas and at LSU. They get Ole Miss and Florida at home and I suspect Ole Miss takes a huge step back this year with all the offensive coaches being Golding hires.

Great for debate. But preseason #1 is overall meaningless
TX was preseason #1 this year and didn’t make the playoffs or SECCG.
