The officiating was terrible, but Iowa still has to find a way to make its own breaks. I don’t remember an Iowa team this lacking in clutch moments.

Offense didn’t score in the second half. Defense gave up 19 in the last 31 minutes of the game. Refs were bad. But this loss is on us. We desperately need a QB who can make basic throws.

Quite simply this team has no dudes.
obviously the missed facemask hurt, but there’s no KJ, there’s no Campbell, there’s no ISM.

Creat your own luck my dudes, waiting for the other guy to foul up is the path to mediocrity.

The officiating sucked for sure. Not the reason Iowa couldn't stop USC wide receivers though. I will say Iowa probably has a chance for points if that facemask is called. Then some of those no calls, you're really going to decide to end the game on an unsportsmanlike call on an assistant coach?

The officiating in this game was atrocious. Anyone who wants to defend the officiating and say it did not contribute to the loss is completely insane.
The reason we lost this game was not solely because of the officiating, but the officiating was absolutely horrible and very one-sided. From two obvious face mask calls… And I mean OBVIOUS to the tackling by their offensive lineman on every play.
KF and staff did the usual pucker up with the lead so the officiating was not the sole reason at all. But it was very bad.

No QB, no pass rusher, no receiving threat and average talent on all levels is the issue.

What was the penalty on the assistant coach?
