I was extremely disturbed at his gameplan last night. They got humiliated by an average Tennessee team. And he couldn’t even get Momcilovic a shot.

I’m mildly curious about this too. Sometimes initial stances are l t the final word. Probably not the case here, but who knows.

I think pulling out of our search and his performance last night told us all we need to know…TJO is not ready for the big time. Maybe one day.

I think he said no because he wasn’t offered.

While I was never as excited about the prospects of TJO at Carolina as the vast majority of IC posters, it's also disingenuous for everyone to completely ignore the fact that Jefferson's injury completely derailed Iowa State's chances to make a deep run in March.

Kinda like Caleb huh…no excuses. Everybody gets judged on the same scale. Teams need to figure out what Duke is doing to be able to get a guy back 3 weeks after a fractured foot. Caleb should have been back in a week and a half…

But one made it to the sweet 16, the other got embarrassed.

Such a reactive crew. One bad/good game and some folks are ready to come to a definitive conclusion.

That’s fair, however, Tennessee has been one of the most injury-riddled team this year. They were lucky have Ament or it could have been a very different game.

If that’s true, our man is in the bag.

What game plan will overcome a 2:1 rebounding disadvantage?

Damn, but that sounds very familiar. And close to home.

Please, no. He can stay in Iowa. Meanwhile Barnes is in elite 8 for 3rd straight year. Impressive.

Right. And Caleb is the more vital and important player.

So the rest of ISU’s roster was more talented than ours?

On the contrary, many posters had him #1. I think he would be great here. But I don’t think he ultimately emerged as the top candidate. I think it’s possible he could reemerge as a top candidate before it is over, but that is not my sense.

Not going to judge his coaching because I didn’t watch a single full game of theirs all year. But in the short interviews and background I’ve seen, I think his a midwestern guy for life.

I never wanted him. He’s not a big time coach. He’s good at coaching up lesser talent but that doesn’t work consistently at UNC. We need a dude who can put together highly athletic and competitive elite talent.
