Utah bowl opt outs

Per their coach, looks like both offensive tackles, and one of their defensive ends have opted out of the bowl game. In my opinion, this significantly improves our chances of winning.

Our best and most important player this year opted out, it's still going to be a really tough game to win.

It can't hurt. We need all the help we can get.

It could help our cause for sure. I'll be curious to see how our defense plays, in particular the down linemen. I'm hopeful the interim defensive coaches can help the players we have slow down the Utah running game. I'm not necessarily saying the coaching will make a big difference, just saying we might see improvement.

Unless Utah as a team decides to opt out, nothing they do will increase Nebraskas chances of winning

Do you know what the word “increase” means?

I think back to when Bill Busch took over for our defense in 2022 and how much better he had them playing. It gives me some hope.

I am not saying we are going to win, but their rush defense is worse then ours and worse then UCLA's. Idk how the offense will look without EJ, but should be able to run the ball. This should also help Nebraska's rush defense.

Think we are going to have to win a shootout.

If Lateef can’t get healthy, may have to run some 30, 31, 32 personnel

Could their head coach count? He's had some weird comments last couple of days. And the #2 headline on ON3 being "I'm in the transfer portal".

According to projections I've seen .. both of those opt-out OT's are first-rounders! So, yeah. Sure can't hurt!

Bowl games are strange to begin with... No way of knowing what will happen. I am more concerned with the fact that we just didn't show up at MN, PSU, and at home against IA. If that happens here, we get our butts kicked.

We are starting Justin Rhett. That scares the crap out of me.

the Nebraska spread looks more enticing, players opt outs and their coach more or less saying he may not be done with coaching, i am awful at betting that being said
