2023 Pac-12 Spring Game Dates

The 2023 Pac-12 Spring Game schedule is out as football season begins for the offseason. Some Pac-12 teams already began their practice schedule to prepare for the 2023 season.

Other than UCLA, all Pac-12 schools have also released the date for their spring game in addition to the schedule. Mark your calendars Pac-12 fans because football doesn’t seem too far away.

Below are the 2023 Spring Game dates for the Pac-12.

Pac-12 Spring Game Dates

Arizona: Practice begins March 14. Game is April 15.

The Wildcats improved from 1-11 in coach Jedd Fisch‘s inaugural season to 5-7 this past year. Now they’ll hope to make a push for bowl eligibility in 2023 after missing the past five seasons. They return starting quarterback Jayden De Laura as well as receiver Jacob Cowing, who is coming off of his second straight 1,000-yard season.

Arizona State: Practice begins March 14. Game is April 15.

The Sun Devils begin a new era in 2023 after firing coach Herm Edwards three games into this past season. Former Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham takes over an ASU team that finished 3-9 in 2022. He is one of many new faces in Tempe, as he also brought in 20 transfers this offseason.

California: Practice begins March 11. Game is April 15.

Justin Wilcox returns for his seventh season as the Golden Bears’ coach, having led them to just two winning records in that span. Coming off of three straight losing seasons, including a 4-8 finish in 2022, the pressure is on him. He’ll have to find a new starting quarterback after Jack Plummer transferred this offseason.

Colorado: Practice begins March 19. Game is April 22.

Following a successful three-year stint at FCS school Jackson State, Deion Sanders is ready to make his mark in the FBS at Colorado. He immediately retooled the roster, bringing in 27 transfers to rank the Buffaloes at No. 1 according to On3’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings. That includes the No. 1 transfer in the country, receiver Travis Hunter. Time will tell whether those new faces can turn around a Colorado team that finished 1-11 this past season.

Oregon: Practice begins March 16. Game is April 29.

Dan Lanning‘s first season in Eugene was a success, as Oregon finished 10-3, including a Holiday Bowl victory against North Carolina. With quarterback Bo Nix back, he should have a chance to make Year 2 even better. The Ducks enter with a chance to not only win the Pac-12, but also hopes of making their first College Football Playoff appearance since 2014.

Oregon State: Practice begins March 7. Game is April 22.

Coach Jonathan Smith had his best season yet with the Beavers in 2022, finishing 10-3. He’ll hope to carry that momentum into 2023 after adding Clemson transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. Uiagalelei struggled in his two seasons as starter for the Tigers, but perhaps a fresh start in Corvallis is just what he needs.

Stanford: Practice begins March 11. Game is April 22.

The Cardinal brought Troy Taylor to be their next head coach after David Shaw resigned this offseason. Taylor was previously the coach at FCS Sacramento State, leading them to a 30-8 record across three seasons. He’ll certainly have his work cut out for him as he takes over a Stanford team that finished 3-9 in each of the past two seasons.

UCLA: Practice and spring game TBD.

Coming off a 9-4 finish in 2022, Bruins coach Chip Kelly recently signed a multi-year extension to keep him at UCLA through 2027. He loses quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and running back Zach Charbonnet from an offense that ranked eighth in the country with 39.2 points per game. Replacing those stars will be difficult, but Kelly brought in Dante Moore, the No. 2 quarterback in the 2023 class according to On3 Consensus.

USC: Practice begins March 4. Game is April 15.

Lincoln Riley had USC in position to win its first Pac-12 Championship since 2017 last season, but ultimately fell short in the title game to Utah. Still, the Trojans should enter as the favorites to win the conference in 2023 thanks to the return of reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams. They also signed the No. 3 transfer class in the country, highlighted by former Arizona receiver Dorian Singer.

Utah: Practice begins March 21. Game is April 22.

The Utes have won back-to-back conference titles under coach Kyle Whittingham and will hope for a threepeat in 2023. They return staring quarterback Cameron Rising, who threw for 3,034 yards, 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He loses tight end Dalton Kincaid to the NFL, but brings back receiver Devaughn Vele.

Washington: Practice begins March 6. Game is April 22.

Kalen DeBoer had an incredible first season in Seattle, leading the Huskies to an 11-2 finish and Alamo Bowl victory. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. had a breakout season to finish second in the country with 4,641 passing yards, 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He returns looking for more in 2023 as Washington should be a contender for the conference title.

Washington State: Practice begins March 21. Game is April 22.

Jake Dickert led the Cougars to a 7-6 finish in his first full season as head coach and will hope to take another step forward this year. He returns plenty of key pieces from 2022, including quarterback Cameron Ward and running back Nakia Watson.
