2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament Bracket: Updated Regional matchups, scores, schedule

The 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament gets underway with 16 Regional matchups across the country this weekend. These top-16 teams have been awarded the opportunity to host their initial bracket after a stellar season prior to the tournament.
In terms of overall bids, the SEC earned the most at 13 teams making the final NCAA Tournament field. The ACC (9) followed, then the Big 12 (8), Big Ten (4), Sun Belt (2), AAC (2), Conference USA (2) and the Big West (2).
Regionals are contested under a double elimination format, before next weekend’s Super Regionals turn to a best of three series. Whoever emerges from each Super Regional will advance to Omaha, where the final eight teams will battle for the national championship at the 2025 College World Series. Below you can find the updated bracket:
Nashville Regional
May 30
2. Louisville 8, 3. East Tennessee State 3
Three Louisville players had two RBI – including Eddie King Jr., who had a two-run home run as part of a three-hit day – en route to an 8-3 victory over East Tennessee State to get the Nashville Regional off and running. The duo of Patrick Forbes and Brennyn Cutts held ETSU to just three hits in the effort and advanced into the winners’ bracket.
1. Vanderbilt 4, 4. Wright State 3
Through six innings, Wright State flirted with history as Cam Allen was in the midst of a no-hitter. However, Raiders coach Alex Sogard pulled him, and the Vanderbilt offense woke up immediately with a solo home run from Brodie Johnston. That was part of a three-home run outburst – the last of which was a go-ahead shot from Riley Nelson, which wasn’t without some controversy, as Vanderbilt came back for the win.
May 31
Wright State 7, East Tennessee State 5 – East Tennessee State eliminated
Although Wright State struck first in Saturday’s elimination game, East Tennessee State rallied to take a 5-4 lead. The Raiders didn’t back down, though, and got big swings from Patrick Fultz and Luke Arnold to regain a 7-5 lead, which held as the final as Wright State advanced in the elimination bracket.
Louisville 3, Vanderbilt 2
The No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, Vanderbilt, is now a loss away from being eliminated from the Nashville Regional following a 3-2 loss to Louisville on Saturday. Louisville broke the 1-1 tie with a two-run fifth inning, making it a 3-1 game. The Commodores however mustered just one run over the final six frames, falling 3-2. They put runners on the corners with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, but second baseman Rustan Rigdon grounded into a fielder’s choice to cement the disappointing loss.
June 1
Wright State 5, Vanderbilt 4
Wright State scored a four-spot in the fourth inning this afternoon in Music City. That ended up being enough to pull the upset of the tournament so far with Vanderbilt, the top overall seed in the bracket, being eliminated from the Nashville Regional. Now, one of the Cardinals and Raiders are in position to advance into a Super Regional with Vandy out.
Louisville 6, Wright State 0 – Wright State eliminated
Wright State pulled off the upset of the tournament by eliminating top-seeded Vanderbilt on Sunday, but couldn’t keep the magic going. Louisville needed just one win to advance to Super Regionals and got it as it proved too much for the Raiders. Alex Alicea led the Cardinals with three hits and two RBI in the win as they move on to a three-game series against either Miami or Southern Miss in the next round.

3. Miami 5, 2. Alabama 3
Miami was able to hold off Alabama and advance to the top half of the bracket in the Hattiesburg Regional. Alabama will head to an elimination game. Miami’s Daniel Cuvet hit a homerun to give them the lead early, and a Max Galvin home run provided breathing room in the final innings.
4. Columbia 11, 1. Southern Miss 4
Columbia pulled off one of the biggest upsets of Day One in the NCAA Tournament, knocking off host Southern Miss in Hattiesburg to send themselves through to the top bracket and shake up the entire field. Solid pitching throughout and a flurry on offense got the job done. Now, Southern Miss must fight to save its season through the bottom of the bracket while facing elimination.
May 31
Southern Miss 6, Alabama 5 – Alabama eliminated
Southern Miss was just a few outs away from being the first national seed eliminated. Alabama had the Golden Eagles on the ropes but a little Hattiesburg magic came through at the right time. A two-out, two-strike two-RBI single from Tucker Stockman in the eighth inning wound up being the difference. Alabama will be the one heading home instead, ending the second season of the Rob Vaughn era in Tuscaloosa.
The Hurricanes scored four runs to open the first inning and didn’t look back on their way to the win. Griffin Hugus struck out nine batters while pitching the full game and Dorian Gonzalez led the team with two home runs.
June 1
Southern Miss 8, Columbia 1
Southern Miss and Columbia competed throughout the first five innings this afternoon in Hattiesburg. The Golden Eagles did eventually pull away, though, with a seven-run advantage over the final four innings to get to a win-and-in scenario over two games on their home field with Miami.
Southern Miss 17, Miami 6
The Golden Eagles fought back with their backs against the wall and facing elimination for the dominant win to force a winner-take-all matchup on Monday. They scored nine runs in the opening inning and never trailed on their way to the victory. Miami never managed to get closer than within five runs after that as Southern Miss cruised behind two home runs and five RBI from Joey Urban.
Miami 5, Southern Miss 4
The Hurricanes pulled away in the fifth and sixth innings for good to advance to Super Regionals for the first time since 2016. Things were tied at 1 apiece heading into the fifth but Miami took the lead on an RBI double from Jake Ogden. That was the beginning of four straight runs as they never trailed after that. Southern Miss added another run in the bottom of the seventh to make it a 5-2 Miami lead. The Golden Eagles made things interesting with a two-run homer from Carson Paetow in the ninth to cut the deficit to one, but were unable to get completely over the hump as they were eliminated.

Tallahassee Regional
May 30
1. Florida State 6, 4. Bethune-Cookman 2
Weather delayed the middle of Friday’s opening game in the Tallahassee Regional, but Florida State used three home runs to come away with a 6-2 victory over Bethune-Cookman. The Seminoles got a two-run blast from Myles Bailey to break a 2-2 tie, and despite a scare in the ninth inning, that proved to be the difference in the victory.
3. Mississippi State 11, 2. Northeastern 2
The Mississippi State offense was firing on all cylinders Friday night as the Bulldogs pulled off the 11-2 victory over Northeastern and end the longest winning streak in Division I. Joe Powell led the charge for MSU with four RBI, two of which came on a third-inning home run, while Gatlin Sanders added three RBI.
May 31
Northeastern 4, Bethune-Cookman 3 – Bethune-Cookman eliminated
Tied at 2-2 heading into the ninth inning of Saturday’s elimination game, Northeastern appeared to back control against Bethune-Cookman when Gregory Bozzo launched a home run to center field to break the tie and help send the Huskies to an eventual 4-3 win despite a scare in the bottom of the inning – keeping their tournament hopes alive.
Florida State 10, Mississippi State 2
Florida State rode three home runs, courtesy of Drew Faurot (x2) and Myles Bailey, to a dominant 10-3 win over Mississippi State on Saturday. Faurot is in the midst of a stellar run, as he’s now homered in five consecutive games. One of the best arms in the entire country, left-hander Jamie Arnold, got the start for the Seminoles and poured in yet another stellar performance. He struck out 13 batters in seven innings while allowing just five hits and three earned runs.
June 1
Mississippi State 3, Northeastern 2 – Northeastern eliminated
The Bulldogs struck early with a two-run bottom of the first inning that was sparked by a one-out RBI-double from Hunter Hines and followed by a RBI-groundout from Bryce Chance. The Huskies cut that lead in half with a two-out RBI-single from Alex Lane in the top of the fifth, but Mississippi State responded in the bottom of the frame with a sacrifice fly from Hines for some much-needed cushion. Northeastern took advantage of some wildness on the mound and scored a run in the seventh on a two-out bases loaded walk but couldn’t mount any more offense as the Bulldogs advance to play host FSU in the regional final Sunday evening.
Florida State 5, Mississippi State 2 – Mississippi State eliminated
Florida State didn’t come to life until the late innings in a Tallahassee Regional final contest against Mississippi State. But when the ‘Noles finally came to life, they really came to life. After trailing 2-0 through much of the contest, Florida State pulled two back on a Cal Fisher bomb over the wall in right center in the seventh inning. Then the ‘Noles exploded for a three-run rally in the bottom of the eighth inning to take a commanding 5-2 lead. That was all she wrote for the Bulldogs, who couldn’t come up with enough in the ninth.

3. USC 13, 2. TCU 1
For the first time in a decade, USC won a Regional game. The Trojans dominated TCU 13-1 to advance in the winners’ bracket, fueled by a three-hit, three-RBI day from Adrian Lopez to help lead the charge. Caden Aoki also had a huge day on the mound, throwing eight innings of one-run ball to get the win.
4. Saint Mary’s 6, 1. Oregon State 4
The first host team fell in Friday’s Corvallis Regional nightcap. Saint Mary’s jumped on Oregon State early with a three-run first inning, although the Beavers responded to make it a 3-2 deficit. The Gaels got a big swing from Brian Duroff in the sixth inning, though, as his three-run home run proved to be the difference in the 6-4 upset victory. It marks the program’s first-ever NCAA Regional win.
May 31
Oregon State 7, TCU 2
Oregon State, the highest national seed to lose on Friday, kept its season alive with a 7-2 win over TCU on Saturday. The Beavers came out swinging, as they belted four home runs in the first three innings en route to an early 7-0 lead. Freshman right-handed pitcher Dax Whitney and junior left-handed pitcher Nelson Keljo held the TCU offense to just two runs on six hits, cementing the dominant win.
USC 6, Saint Mary’s 4
The Trojans found themselves trailing 3-1 entering the bottom of the fourth inning but managed a pair of runs to tie things up. Then in the fifth, Ethan Hedges connected on a home run to give them the lead for good. USC added another run in the sixth and one in the eight as it is now one more win away from heading to Super Regionals.
June 1
Oregon State 20, Saint Mary’s 3 – Saint Mary’s eliminated
The Beavers clearly came out with something to prove after losing to Saint Mary’s earlier in the regional. They slowly built up a 5-2 lead through the first five innings before putting their foot on the gas and pulling ahead even more. Oregon State strung together nine runs in the sixth to open up a 14-0 lead and never looked back. OSU piled on another six in the ninth for the dominant win to advance to the regional final against USC.
Oregon State 14, USC 1
Oregon State prevailed in a baseball version of the old “Pac-12 after dark” against former conference rival USC. The Beavers bats were hot from the start as they finished with 17 hits in the lopsided win. OSU went up 6-1 after the first three innings and added another five runs in the sixth and seventh combined to pull even further ahead. Wyatt Queen got the start at pitcher and, despite giving up eight hits, allowed just one run in 4.1 innings of work. Kellen Oakes and Zach Kmatz closed things out for Oregon State, which will play USC again in a rematch Monday to advance to Supers.
No. 8 Oregon State 9, USC 0
Monday afternoon brought a winner-take-all game from Corvallis as USC and Oregon State faced off for a second time. The first matchup resulted in a Beavers blowout and Game 7 in the regional was no different. From start to finish, Oregon State was in control with 11 hits. On just the flip side, USC could only muster three hits of their own, falling victim to a shutout. Oregon State now advances to another Super Regional.

1. North Carolina 4, 4. Holy Cross 0
The first three innings of North Carolina’s battle with Holy Cross were scoreless, but the Tar Heels made a three-run dent in the bottom of the fourth inning, due to a couple of big hits. They’d add on another run in the bottom of the fifth, and that was all starter Jake Knapp needed. He delivered 8.1 innings of shutout ball, and Walker McDuffie came on for the final two outs. North Carolina has championship aspirations, and they started their journey off with a bang.
2. Oklahoma 7, 3. Nebraska 4
Two early home runs helped Oklahoma take full control early against Nebraska, taking a 7-0 lead. Although the Cornhuskers put up four runs in the eighth inning, the Sooners were able to fight off the charge and come away with the 7-4 victory. Drew Dickerson and Kyle Branch each had two RBI to lead the charge for OU.

The Carolina pitching staff deployed just three arms in sophomore right-hander Jason DeCaro, sophomore right-hander Olin Johnson and junior right-hander Cameron Padgett, which combined to allow five runs on 12 hits. The Tar Heels’ hot start was however too much for OU to overcome and they will head to the loser’s bracket.
June 1
Oklahoma 17, Nebraska 1 – Nebraska eliminated
Jaxon Willits drove in two runs to highlight the first inning for Oklahoma. The Sooners built a 3-0 lead in the first frame. Easton Carmichael kept it going in the top of the third with a solo home run, making it 4-0. Willits and Scott Mudler added RBIs in the same inning to make it 6-0. The Sooners would add three more runs to make it a one-sided affair early on, up 9-0. With another run in the 4th, Oklahoma was trying to bury Nebraska, going up 10-0. As the Huskers looked for any answer, the Sooners scored again in the sixth. That included a three-run home run from Carmichael to go up 15-0. Oklahoma starting pitcher Cade Crossland had a great outing, going seven innings, gave up five hits, issued two walks, gave up no runs and had nine strikeouts.
Oklahoma 9, North Carolina 5
The Sooners trailed 3-2 after the fifth inning but took control in the sixth. They scored five runs that inning, including a two-run shot from Drew Dickerson, to take a 7-3 advantage. UNC refused to go away and answered with two runs in the top of the seventh. OU led 8-5 in the eighth inning when the Tar Heels loaded the bases with no outs, but the Sooners defense tightened up and somehow got out without giving up a score. They would hang on to win from there and force a winner-take-all for the regional title on Monday.
June 2

UNC added three insurance runs in the eighth inning to round out their 15-hit day. Alex Madera finished the game 3-of-4 at the plate with two RBIs and a walk. The Tar Hills win the Chapel Hill Regional and will host their Super Regional against Arizona this weekend.

4. Utah Valley 6, 1. Oregon 5
Utah Valley left Oregon fans stunned after downing the Ducks in a nail-biting 6-5 finish. It is the first NCAA Tournament win in the program’s history. 3. East Carolina 11, 2. Florida 6
East Carolina brought it to Florida from the get-go. Before the Gators even knew what hit them, the Pirates were out to a 9-0 lead, scoring in each of the first four innings. Florida finally got off the mat in the bottom of the fourth with two runs, but it was far from enough. They’d add on another run in the bottom of the eighth and a couple in the ninth, but East Carolina’s offensive explosion — 11 runs on 15 hits, coupled with some impressive pitching — Ethan Norby going 7.1 innings and striking out ten, put a stake through Florida’s hearts.

Coastal Carolina 18, East Carolina 7
Believe it or not, Coastal Carolina actually trailed 5-4 entering the seventh inning of this game. However, the Chanticleers scored a combined 14 runs over the final three innings, including six in the seventh propelled by two home runs. Colby Thorndyke had a grand slam as part of the big seventh-inning barrage.

It was a defensive battle for most of the evening, but ultimately Coastal Carolina found enough offense to advance from the Conway Regional final without issue. It wasn’t until the bottom of the eighth inning that the Chanticleers finally scratched one across, though. Coastal’s Sebastian Alexander lifted a deep sacrifice fly to center field to allow a runner at third to tag up and score, breaking the deadlock at 1-0. Pitching paved the way in the ninth, sending the Chanticleers into the Super Regionals with a 1-0 win.

Kansas State bounced back well from a blowout loss on Friday, taking down Houston Christian in the elimination game. The Wildcats got a huge boost from Keegan O’Connor, who had a game-high three RBI on a home run in the third inning as K-State got the victory.
After taking Texas down during the regular season, the same has become true in the NCAA Tournament for UTSA. The Roadrunners are now one win away from the first Super Regional in program history. Texas certainly had its opportunities to produce offensively, leaving plenty of runners on base. UTSA pitchers recovered well though, maintaining their lead throughout the late innings. A great moment for the program to beat Texas in Austin.

The No. 2 overall seed, like the No. 1 overall seed, is now out of the field with UTSA winning 7-4 over Texas on their home field in Austin. The Yellow Jackets rallied with a seven-run fifth inning that include a homer from Vahn Lackey. Murray State took the lead for good when Jonathan Hogart connected for a home run in the seventh inning in what was his only hit of the evening. The Racersscored two runs total that game and added another run in the ninth to pull off the win.
