Five-star Grayson (Ga.) linebacker Tyler Atkinson will take an official visit to Oregon this weekend, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Atkinson is coming off an official visit to Clemson last weekend and also has Ohio State, Georgia, USC, and Auburn among his top schools heading into the summer.

He last visited the Ducks in March after having to cancel his initial visit planned in January. They made a strong impression on him, and enough of one to get him back up to Eugene again this weekend.

“Oregon was everything I imagined it would be,” Atkinson told On3’s Steve Wiltfong after that trip. “It was just like the coaches had described. Coach Lanning and the entire staff showed me exactly how much they wanted me to be a part of their program and team. … The way Oregon embraced and supported my personal brand, ‘AtkNup’ is next level. They definitely have a plan!”

Atkinson also took note of the program’s culture and what he sees Lanning building with this recruiting class.

“I think everyone there and the guys they are choosing to recruit have the same vision,” Atkinson said. “You can feel it and see it.

En route to a state championship as a junior, Atkinson racked up 166 tackles including 32 stops for loss, 13 sacks, a forced fumble and interception.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder is the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also checks in as the country’s No. 1 player at his position and the top recruit in the Peach State.
