The latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings are here following Week 13 of the college football season, so prepare to debate! Based on the results from the weekend, teams are surely going to jump, fall and well, maybe stand pat!

Rivalry week provided plenty of drama as the conference championship games are set. Also, some guy named Lane Kiffin is probably going to LSU this weekend and Ole Miss is still going to the CFP.

So let’s dive into the latest AP Poll rankings following Week 12. We’ll start with the top of the list.

1. Ohio State

Ohio State finished atop the AP Poll in the regular season, beat Michigan 27-9 and finished 12-0. Buckeye fans got a big monkey off their back this weekend.

Julian Sayin overcame an early interception and tossed for 233 yards and three touchdowns. Ohio State’s defense held Bryce Underwood to eight-of-18 passing for 63 yards and an interception in Ann Arbor.

2. Indiana

Indiana, like their Big Ten title game opponent Ohio State, finished 12-0 and high up the AP Poll. Curt Cignetti and crew beat down Purdue 56-3 this weekend.

Roman Hemby ran for 152 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Fernando Mendoza was just eight-of-15 passing for 117 yards, but threw for two touchdowns as he didn’t have to do much this time around.

3. Georgia (+1)

Georgia didn’t win pretty, but they won again to maintain their standing in the AP Poll. The Bulldogs beat rival Georgia Tech 16-9 in Atlanta.

Funny enough, they’ll return to that building in a week for a rematch with Alabama in the SEC Championship. The winner most certainly gets a first round bye this year!

4. Oregon (+1)

Oregon took care of Washington on the road to solidify a top five spot in the AP Poll. The Ducks are 11-1 this year and should be heading back to the College Football Playoff for the second straight season.

In the win, Dante Moore was 20-of-29 passing for 286 yards and a touchdown, while running for another. The defense forced two interceptions as well.

5. Texas Tech (+2)

Texas Tech is 11-1 but it remains to be seen if they’ll make the CFP for the first time despite playing in next week’s Big 12 title game. They’re in the top 10 of the AP Poll if that’s any indication.

The Red Raiders trounced West Virginia 49-0 to end the year though. Behren Morton fired three touchdowns and 310 yards on 25-of-32 passing.

6. Ole Miss

Ole Miss has more to worry about than its AP Poll ranking. Sure, the Rebels beat down Mississippi State to finish 11-1 and basically lock up a CFP spot, but their coach is likely leaving.

All indications are Lane Kiffin will sign a contract with LSU and will not finish what he started. The drama never ends.

7. Texas A&M (-4)

Texas A&M fell to Texas in their final game, ruining an unbeaten season. But they didn’t fall from the top 10 of the AP Poll!

The Aggies should still make the College Football Playoff and have a good seed, despite missing out on the SEC title game. Imagine the home atmosphere in College Station!

8. Oklahoma

Oklahoma narrowly beat LSU to end the season at 10-2 and will get a chance at the College Football Playoff. This AP Poll top 10 team had quite the turnaround from last year under Brent Venables.

Although he’s been hobbled by his hand injury, John Mateer has played valiantly at QB. Now, it’s a wait and see approach for Oklahoma as to where they’ll end up in the bracket.

9. Notre Dame

Notre Dame won its 10th game in a row to finish 10-2 and give themselves a great shot at the CFP. They remained in the top 10 of the AP Poll, so that could be a good indication.

Jeremiyah Love had a quick day: 14 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown. CJ Carr tossed for 205 yards and two scores while Aneyas Williams had 83 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

10. Alabama

Alabama got by Auburn in the Iron Bowl and will play for the SEC title. Kalen DeBoer changed the narrative around his style this season, especially after losing to Florida State.

Now, they have a chance to beat Georgia for a second time this year and they could very well get a first round bye in the CFP. Onto Atlanta!
