The latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings have been released following Week 3 of college football. There was plenty of chaos as usual, so we saw a rankings shakeup.

There was some late night magic as Texas A&M beat Notre Dame, following Georgia’s epic win over Tennessee and teams like Miami and LSU making statements. And so much more!

Let’s dive into the latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings. We’ll start at the top as usual.

1. Ohio State

Ohio State overcame a slow start against Ohio and won 37-9, cruising to a 3-0 record to start the year. The Buckeyes had a good performance from Julian Sayin despite two interceptions.

Jeremiah Smith had two touchdowns, one receiving and one rushing. Carnell Tate and Max Klare also caught touchdowns in the win.

2. Penn State

Penn State dominated Villanova 52-6, although some with a certain financial interest might not be too thrilled about that final score! Anyway, this has been the story for the Nittany Lions so far.

But, they’ll get their biggest challenge yet with Oregon coming to town in two weeks. If James Franklin and crew win that one, that might vault them to No. 1 overall in the AP Poll.

3. LSU

You play to win the game! That’s what Herm Edwards said, or is it what Brian Kelly said? Anyway, the Tigers won 20-10 over Florida.

The offense sputtered a little bit, but the defense was elite, forcing five interceptions and sending DJ Lagway home scratching his head. Kelly didn’t want to talk about any offensive struggles postgame because, well, they played and won!

4. Miami (+1)

Miami blasted USF and erased all that good fun and fortune for the Bulls over the course of four quarters. Don’t count out USF the rest of the way, but the Hurricanes were on another level.

Mark Fletcher Jr. had 16 carries for 120 yards and two touchdowns while QB Carson Beck was responsible for four touchdowns, overcoming two interceptions in the game. Next up is Florida coming to Coral Gables.

5. Georgia (+1)

Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton (14) runs into the end zone for a touchdown during a college football game between Tennessee and Georgia at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., on Sept. 13, 2025.

Georgia does it again! Another win over Tennessee, making it nine in a row over the Vols. This one took a comeback in overtime, but the Bulldogs proved to be the better squad, again.

How about Gunner Stockton? The Bulldogs seem to have a gem right now after he threw for 304 yards, two touchdowns and ran for another.

6. Oregon (-2)

On the flip side of Penn State is Oregon as the Ducks get a massive challenge going to play the Nittany Lions on the road in two weeks. First up, it’s Oregon State following another dominant performance against Northwestern.

Dan Lanning has this team cruising right now so they have their rightful spot high atop the AP Poll. In a year where it could’ve been Penn State vs. Ohio State in the Big Ten, Oregon certainly has an argument to repeat.

7. Florida State (+3)

Florida State had a bye week but remained in the top 10 of the AP Poll this week. It’s certainly been quite the turnaround from last year’s 2-10 campaign, although it’s still early.

The Seminoles will host Kent State this coming weekend before getting underway in ACC play with Virginia. Onward!

8. Texas (-1)

Texas struggled offensively and Arch Manning and company didn’t get the friendliest cheers from the Longhorn crowd. He was just 11-of-25 passing for 114 yards, one touchdown, one interception and ran for 52 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite all of that, Texas won 27-10 over UTEP. Still, the conversation is going to be about Manning’s struggles and all of the preseason hype.

9. Illinois

Illinois dominated Western Michigan 38-0 to improve to 3-0 on the season and maintained a top 10 ranking in the AP Poll. Bret Bielema’s squad is rolling early on in 2025.

Luke Altmyer went 17-of-26 passing for 196 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for one. Kaden Feagin led the team in rushing with 20 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown.

10. Texas A&M (+6)

What a win for Texas A&M, 41-40 on the road against Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish have some work to do, but that was a landmark win for Mike Elko and crew.

Welcome to the top 10 of the AP Poll Aggies! Marcel Reed played well and RB Le’Veon Moss ran for 86 yards and three touchdowns.
