College Football Announcer Schedule: Broadcasters for notable Week 8 games

With Week 8 on the horizon, TV ratings have soared across college football. Networks will look to keep capitalizing on a wild college football season, and the Week 8 announcer schedule is out.

A marquee matchup sits in Friday’s primetime window with Louisville taking on Miami at 7 p.m. ET. That will set the table for a huge Saturday slate with Ole Miss at Georgia in primetime and the Third Saturday in October rivalry between Tennessee and Alabama in the afternoon. USC at Notre Dame and the Holy War between Utah and BYU will also await in the primetime slot.

It’s shaping up to be another exciting week of action. Here is the announcer schedule for Week 8 of college football, according to data compiled by 506Sports.

Louisville at Miami

Date/Time: Oct. 17, 7 p.m. ET
Channel: ESPN
Announcers: Dave Pasch, Dusty Dvoracek

A big-time Friday night matchup is at Hard Rock Stadium as Louisville heads to Miami Gardens to take on No. 2-ranked Miami as both teams come off a bye. Dave Pasch and Dusty Dvoracek will have the call for an important ACC showdown.

LSU at Vanderbilt

Date/Time: Oct. 18, 12 p.m. ET
Channel: ABC
Announcers: Joe Tessitore, Jesse Palmer

Saturday’s slate starts off with a big one in Nashville as LSU will head to Vanderbilt in a game that will have plenty of ramifications in a jam-packed SEC race. Joe Tessitore and Jesse Palmer will have the call as ABC looks to continue its record-breaking start to the year.

Georgia Tech at Duke

Date/Time: Oct. 18, 12 p.m. ET
Channel: ESPN
Announcers: Bob Wischusen, Louis Riddick

Both Georgia Tech and Duke enter Week 8 undefeated in ACC play, meaning they both have a chance to gain an edge. They will square off in Durham at Noon ET and look to make the conference race even more interesting heading into late October.

Washington at Michigan

Date/Time: Oct. 18, 12 p.m. ET
Channel: FOX
Announcers: Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt

FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff will return to Ann Arbor in Week 8 as two of the Big Ten’s top young quarterbacks go head-to-head. Demond Williams and Washington will take on Bryce Underwood and Michigan as part of a busy Noon ET window.

Oklahoma at South Carolina

Channel: SEC Network

Both Oklahoma and South Carolina are looking to bounce back from Week 7 losses as they battle it out at Williams-Brice Stadium. John Mateer was off Wednesday’s availability report after appearing to take a helmet to his right hand after surgery last week, meaning he should be good to go for the matchup.

Ole Miss at Georgia

Date/Time: Oct. 18, 3:30 p.m. ET
Channel: ABC
Announcers: Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit

Another top SEC matchup, undefeated Ole Miss will head to Athens looking to make a statement against Georgia. ESPN College GameDay will be in attendance, and the lead booth of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be on the call.

Texas Tech at Arizona State

Date/Time: Oct. 18, 4 p.m. ET
Channel: FOX
Announcers: Connor Onion, Mark Helfrich

All eyes are on the two quarterbacks in Saturday’s Big 12 matchup between Texas Tech and Arizona State as both Behren Morton and Sam Leavitt work their way back from injuries. The Red Raiders are one of three 3-0 teams in the conference while the Sun Devils sit at 2-1 to start the year.

Tennessee at Alabama

The Third Saturday in October rivalry returns to Tuscaloosa as Tennessee takes on Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide are surging into the matchup with a five-game win streak while the Volunteers have won three straight since an overtime loss at home against Georgia. Sean McDonough and Greg McElroy will be in the booth for Saturday’s game.

USC at Notre Dame

The battle for the Jeweled Shillelagh is back at Notre Dame Stadium as USC and Notre Dame square off under the lights. The Trojans boast one of the best offenses in the country, led by Jayden Maiava, while CJ Carr and the Fighting Irish have also shown their ability this year

Utah at BYU

Date/Time: Oct. 18, 8 p.m. ET
Channel: FOX
Announcers: Jason Benetti, Robert Griffin III

Another rivalry game in the primetime window will see a storied rivalry take place on the big stage. Utah and BYU will square off in their “Holy War” game, with FOX’s No. 2 broadcast team of Jason Benetti and Robert Griffin III on the call for the ranked matchup.
