After heading to Pittsburgh this week, ESPN College GameDay has revealed its penultimate destination for the 2025 season in Week 13. The show will head back to Eugene for USC at Oregon.

College GameDay made its first trip to Pittsburgh for a Saturday game in two decades ahead of the showdown between Pitt and Notre Dame. Both teams entered with College Football Playoff aspirations – the Fighting Irish needing a win to stay in the bracket and the Panthers looking to get closer to the 12-team field with a victory of their own.

Pitt legend Aaron Donald served as the guest picker ahead of his jersey retirement ceremony, which took place at halftime at Acrisure Stadium. Another Pitt legend, Tony Dorsett, also joined the show, as did Notre Dame icon – and former Pittsburgh Steelers star – Jerome Bettis. Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi and Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love also stopped by.

Saturday’s show also marked a homecoming for Pat McAfee. The Pittsburgh native also held his annual kicking competition, which has been gaining popularity throughout its third season on College GameDay, though he also made sure to show his West Virginia pride.

The Week 11 trip to Pitt marked College GameDay’s first trip to the Steel City since 2022 when the Panthers took on WVU in the annual Backyard Brawl for a Thursday night game to start the season. It was also the first appearance at Pitt for a Saturday game since 2005 – another game against Notre Dame.

For millions of college football fans, it was a long-awaited weekend to catch College GameDay on YouTube TV. The streaming service announced a multi-year agreement with Disney on Friday to end the carriage dispute and restore ESPN networks, along with ABC, after a two-week blackout. That process began Friday night.

Despite ESPN’s return to YouTube TV, the network still moved forward with its previously announced plan to bring College GameDay to a wider audience. The show aired for free on the ESPN app and on McAfee’s X account for a third straight week.

Last week’s trip to Lubbock drew 2.2 million viewers on average and McAfee’s account drew 1.2 million unique users. It was the second time ESPN made the show available on the app and on X after bringing in 2 million viewers on average via linear and 1.2 million unique users via McAfee’s account. As a whole, College GameDay’s ratings are up 24% year-over-year as the show closes in on its most-watched season ever.
