ESPN reveals updated bowl, College Football Playoff predictions following wild Week 10
With just three weeks remaining in the regular season, the College Football Playoff and bowl picture are both starting to become clearer. Following a wild Week 10 that saw two Playoff teams from last week’s projections suffer their first loss of the season, ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach released their updated projections.
Tennessee and Clemson fell out of the CFP in both Bonagura and Schlabach’s projections after losing to Georgia and Notre Dame, respectively. The Tigers are now predicted to play in the Orange Bowl, while the Volunteers are slated to face Texas in the Sugar Bowl.
Both writers agree on Georgia, Michigan and TCU to make the field, but differ on their fourth Playoff team. Bonagura chose Oregon, which has won eight straight following a Week 1 loss, and Schlabach still believes in Ohio State even after the Buckeyes struggled against Northwestern in Week 10.
