LSU will go into the game against Wisconsin as a heavy favorite after winning nine games in the regular season. Wisconsin, meanwhile, won seven games but had several competitive losses.

The Tigers are anchored by star quarterback Jayden Daniels, one of the favorites to win the 2023 Heisman Trophy. Daniels has been completely unstoppable in the second half of the season, largely thanks to his unique running ability.

Daniels has repeatedly shown he can make defenders misjudge their angles, a testament to his ability to get up to speed quickly.

The long strider has run for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns, with both marks leading the team this year. He’s also been elite as a passer, going for 3,812 yards passing with 40 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

He’s the straw that stirs the drink for the Tigers, but there are other weapons too, one reason the point spread is as high as it is.

Receiver Malik Nabers leads the nation in receiving, having logged 1,546 yards and 14 touchdowns. His teammate, Brian Thomas Jr., has recorded 1,079 yards and a nation-leading 15 touchdown catches.

Running back Logan Diggs has added 652 yards and seven touchdowns rushing.

Wisconsin, meanwhile, has gotten by on strong defense rather than elite offense. The Badgers rank 18th nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 18.9 points per game.

The chief threats offensively for the Badgers are quarterback Tanner Mordecai and running back Braelon Allen. Allen is on the cusp of a 1,000-yard season, sitting at 984 yards and 12 touchdowns on the year.

Mordecai has thrown for 1,687 yards and six touchdowns, against just four interceptions. His leading target is receiver Will Pauling, who has racked up 694 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

As the point spread indicates, Wisconsin will have its work cut out for it.
