On300 4-star TE Mikkel Skinner sets commitment date, finalists

Greer (S.C.) Riverside four-star tight end Mikkel Skinner will announce his commitment on Oct. 22, he told On3’s Steve Wiltfong on Monday.
The 6-foot-3.5, 220-pound tight end will choose between Kentucky, South Carolina, USF, Georgia and Ohio State.
Skinner previously committed to Cincinnati on June 9 before decommitting from the Bearcats on Sept. 13 — six days after taking a visit to Kentucky.
“What’s majoring is my position coach and just how everyone’s literally family there,” Skinner told On3 of what caught his eye on his trip to Lexington. “And my chance on playing early making an impact.
“Coach Marrow really makes it feel like I moved into my household I already live in and that’s home.”

“It’s exciting and lit,” Skinner said of his visit. “Good to see a young team keeping up with a top-25 team. Says a lot about the coaching.”
