SEC announces kickoff times, television designations for Week 14
On Monday, the SEC revealed the kickoff times and television designations for its teams’ Week 14 games. Thanksgiving weekend will mark the final week of the college football regular season.
Due to the holiday, the schedule will look a bit unusual in Week 14. Three SEC teams will play on Friday instead of Saturday. Additionally, multiple SEC teams will face non-conference opponents, as Week 14 often serves as rivalry week around the country.

With up to seven SEC teams in competition for College Football Playoff bids, Week 14 will have plenty of high-stakes games. Teams like Vanderbilt, Oklahoma and Alabama that have two losses will be desperate to secure a win.
Moreover, teams like Kentucky and South Carolina will be aiming to pick up morale boosts with wins against their in-state rivals. Speaking of in-state rivalry games, Georgia and Georgia Tech may have the most consequential game of the week.
Assuming both teams win in Week 13, they’ll each enter Thanksgiving weekend with an 11-1 record. Though Georgia will likely have a spot waiting for it in the CFP whether it wins or loses, the same can’t be said for Georgia Tech.
The Bulldogs should expect to get the Yellowjackets’ best. After all, Georgia Tech took the Bulldogs to eight overtimes last season before ultimately falling 44-42. Another war could be on the horizon in Mercedes-Benz Stadium if college football fans are lucky. TV designations and kickoff times will be solidified by next week.
