Top-150 prospect Chris Lockett commits to Boise State
On3 Consensus three-star recruit Chris Lockett Jr. has announced his commitment to Boise State.
The 6-foot-5 senior combo guard from New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman signed with the Broncos on Wednesday but waited until Thursday to make his pledge public.
Lockett ranks as the No. 138 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus — the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.
As a sophomore, Lockett was rated as a five-star prospect by ESPN and ranked 13th in the country. Unfortunately, he struggled with tendonitis which affected his recruitment and his on-court production. Baylor, Kansas, LSU, Ohio State, and others extended scholarships to Lockett.

Chris Lockett on his commitment to Boise State
“The coaching staff speaks for itself and they made me feel like a priority to them,” Lockett said to On3. “From watching the game they had against Washington State made me want to be there and their fans are amazing. Being around the players, the staff, and being on the campus, I saw myself coming in and making an impact.”
