UNLV trolls SEC, Vanderbilt using "It Just Means More" slogan

UNLV took an opportunity to troll the SEC following a 40-37 victory against Vanderbilt in Week 3. The Rebels football account used the conference’s own slogan to poke fun at the Commodores, writing “It Just Means More,” in a Twitter post accompanied by the final score.
The Rebels barely escaped with the win thanks to a 36-yard field goal from Jose Pizano. UNLV led for much of the game before that, but held off a late Vanderbilt rally after the Commodores scored 20 points in the final quarter.
The winning kick for UNLV was set up after Jayden Maiava completed a 48-yard pass to Ricky White to put the Rebels in field goal position. To add insult to injury, Vanderbilt kicker Jacob Borcila missed a 33-yard field goal moments before with 44 seconds remaining. That would have given the Commodores the lead, but instead they leave Las Vegas with a loss.
Vanderbilt jumped out to a 17-0 lead to start and looked to be in control of the game. However, UNLV rallied past a first quarter injury to quarterback Doug Brumfield to score 30 unanswered points and take a 13-point lead into the first quarter.
The Commodores clawed their way back into the game with a touchdown and a pair of field goals on their first three drives of the second half to even the score at 30. From there, the two teams traded a pair of touchdowns as the game was again knotted at 37 with 1:12 remaining.

Vanderbilt’s defense came up with the stop it needed after that to force an interception. Unfortunately, the offense couldn’t deliver despite being in prime scoring position and went on to lose the game.
The Commodores struggled on the ground as they averaged just 2.3 yards per carry and finished with 90 yards rushing. Quarterback AJ Swann also had some issues with accuracy, finishing just 16-of-35 (45.7%) passing for 296 yards and three touchdowns.
As for UNLV, Maiava was solid stepping in place of Brumfield following his injury. He finished 19-of-33 passing for 257 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He added 29 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground.
The loss marks the second straight for Vanderbilt after it dropped its Week 2 contest to Wake Forest. The Commodores now sit at 2-2 as they prepare to open up SEC play in Week 4 against Kentucky at home.
