Lagway, who is repped by NETWORK, is the former No. 1 overall recruit in the 2024 class who currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $1.9 million. Lagway also has previous NIL agreements with Gatorade, Jordan Brand, Chipotle, Beats by Dre, T-Mobile, and Mercedes-Benz of Gainesville, to name a few.
“We are incredibly proud of DJ and everything he has accomplished,” Lagway’s parents Derek and Niki Lagway said in a press release announcing the partnership. “From the time he was young, he’s approached every stage of his life with focus, determination, and his whole heart. To see those qualities recognized by a brand as influential as Red Bull, placing our son among their elite athlete partners, is a blessing. The energy, the ambition–it’s the perfect fit.”

By signing with Red Bull, Lagway becomes the latest collegiate athlete to partner with the popular energy drink brand. He joins Texas quarterback Arch Manning and Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith, as well as BYU freshman men’s basketball player AJ Dybantsa, and women’s basketball stars Hannah Hidalgo of Notre Dame, and MiLaysia Fulwiley and Mikaylah Williams of LSU.
“Seeing DJ join the Red Bull family is such a proud and exciting moment for all of us. His talent, discipline, and love for the game shine through in everything he does, and Red Bull’s energy perfectly aligns with that,” Lagway’s manager and NETWORK VP Michaela Simon said in a press release. “They truly understand what motivates athletes like DJ–not just in his athletic performance, but in his individuality. It’s been incredible working with the Red Bull team to bring this partnership to life, and we’re so excited for everything that’s ahead.”
Lagway has 988 yards on 68.9% passing (104-of-151) with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions this season for the Gators (2-3, 1-1 SEC). Florida is coming off its first conference win of the year with a 29-21 upset of then-No. 9 Texas last Saturday in Gainesville.
