Florida lands 4-star TE target Heze Kent as Gators push for third-straight Top-10 class

Brunswick (Ga.) High blue-chip tight end prospect Heze Kent announced his commitment to Florida on Saturday during a live broadcast on the Rivals YouTube Channel.
The four-star Kent chose to play for head coach Billy Napier and the Gators over his other top schools in Florida State, Miami and Texas.
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Kent is a unique jumbo athlete with traits to develop into an outstanding offensive tackle as well. Rivals tabs him as the No. 141 prospect in the class regardless of position.
Kent adds to a Florida class that previously ranked No. 15 nationally. He is commit No. 18 for the Gators.
Florida looking to sign a third-straight Top 10 recruiting class. Kent was another huge addition.
No program made Kent feel like a bigger priority.
“Just the job they’re doing recruiting me,” Kent recently said of what stands out about UF. “The way they use their tight ends and the tight ends coach now is the offensive coordinator. Hopefully they get more touches than usual.”
Kent has always raved about the Gators.
“With Florida, I love who coach Billy Napier is,” Kent previously told On3’s Chad Simmons. “He is a God-loving man and just a good person that always keeps it real. I like coach Russ Callaway too. He moved to the offensive coordinator role, so I know he will use the tight end in the offense.”

Florida targets moving forward
Florida has been rising with Rivals No. 1 safety Bralan Womack. A couple visits to Gainesville this year have them in the middle of it as they battle Auburn, Ohio State and Texas A&M.
IMG Academy four-star linebacker DQ Forkpa as the Gators near the top of his list.
One source thinks it will ultimately be Florida or North Carolina for four-star tight end and Tennessee commit Carson Sneed. A source close to Sneed gives UF the edge over UNC right now. That same source also didn’t rule out Sneed sticking. I do believe Florida is his favorite with Tennessee then North Carolina in that current order.
The Gators are still in play for four-star receiver for four-star receiver Somourian Wingo.
Dialogue continues with four-star receiver Davian Groce. It might be tough to pull him away from home but he did love his official.
