Kaiden Bailey, a four-star point guard in the 2026 class, has committed to Georgia Tech, he told Rivals.

The 6-foot-2 senior out of Santa Margarita (CA) visited the Yellow Jackets over the weekend and now makes it official. He also made a trip to Colorado State and was set to visit Iowa this upcoming weekend, but that visit now off. In addition to those programs, Bailey also received offers from USC, Washington, UNLV, and others.

Bailey on why he chose Georgia Tech

Kaiden Bailey went in-depth on his decision to choose Georgia Tech.

“The people. It is obviously a great school, with great history of basketball players, in a great conference the ACC but it really came down to how they believed in me and saw me the way I see myself. Coach Stoudamire did his homework on me not just on the court but off and that meant a lot.

“Georgia Tech made the choice easy for me because not only did they check the boxes of what I was looking for in my school and opportunity to play basketball but they have an entire support system to help me be successful starting with Coach Stoudamire.”

What led to his trust in the coaching staff?

“Coach Stoudamire is the head coach and leads with transparency (honesty) and trust in his coaching staff which makes trusting them and him easy.”

In his own words, what type of player is Georgia Tech getting in Bailey?

“Most see my play style as a scoring point guard, focusing on my shooting and playmaking ability but I want people to know my style is I’m a “do whatever it takes” type of player that is about leading by example and winning.”

He has a message for Georgia Tech fans.

“I’m extremely excited to be a Yellow Jacket can’t wait to get wins and hit threes for y’all.”

Bailey, a California native, is ranked as the No. 109 overall player in the nation, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He’s also the No. 18 ranked point guard.

Bailey averaged 19 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game with his high school team for his junior season. This summer at Peace Jam, he averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game for Team WhyNot.

Bailey is Georgia Tech’s second commitment of the day and third commitment in the class of 2026. Four-star small forward Jalan Wingfield (No. 111 NATL) pledged to the Yellow Jackets this morning and four-star center Moustapha Diop (No. 84 NATL) committed last November.
