Syracuse adds OL Marcus Small to budding 2027 class

Jacksonville First Coast offensive tackle Marcus Small announced his commitment to Fran Brown and Syracuse on Thursday evening, giving the Orange another early pledge in the 2027 cycle.
Syracuse extended an offer this summer. Small hasn’t announced any other Power Four offers since and isn’t wasting any more time. He’s locking in with the ACC program.
The 6-foot-7 lineman plays left and right tackle for First Coast. While currently unranked, he clearly caught the attention of the Orange, which now has eight junior pledges before the end of the fall.
Brown and his staff are working to ink a top-30 class in the 2026 cycle, per the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. They are keeping the foot on the gas as attention will soon turn fully toward the 2027 class. No Power Four program has more ’27 commitments than Syracuse thus far.
