After rushing for 1,755 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior, there’s little question Richard Young is one of the best running back recruits in the country. He’s also a star off the field. When he’s not on the field, Young spends time giving back to his community by coaching at youth football camps. “Everything that's going on, it's unbelievable how someone is getting this much recognition nationally can stay as grounded as he is,” Lehigh athletic director Greg Coleman told Southwest Florida Sports. “He hasn't forgotten his roots, he hasn't forgotten his family. He's just the type of kid that is so grounded.” His mother is Juanita Young, and his guardian is his uncle, Timothy Grubbs. Young plans in majoring in math when he’s in college.
