Colorado WR Omarion Miller will not play on Saturday for the Buffaloes against Delaware, per Brian Howell. Miller injured his hamstring last week during the season opener against Georgia Tech.

That isn’t all on the injury front for Colorado. Alongside Miller, RB Dallan Hayden, DT Gavriel Lightfoot, DE Samuel Okunlola, LB Kylan Salter and S Terrance Love will also miss Saturday’s Week 2 matchup.

Earlier this week, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders provided an update on Miller’s status. However, it didn’t sound promising for the wide receiver for Week 2. That has turned out to be the case.

“Hamstring. He’s still out. Not practicing. Hasn’t done anything since the game,” Sanders revealed. “But you’ve got to understand — he’s a phenomenal wide receiver, but we have some phenomenal receivers on this roster. We’ve just got to give them opportunities to show themselves, because they’re really good.”

Miller recorded only one catch against the Yellow Jackets, but he was still Colorado’s leading receiver with 39 yards at the end of the game. They’ll need some more help from their wide receiving corps if they’re to win this weekend.

Colorado’s second-leading receiver on the afternoon was running back DeKalon Taylor, who caught three passes for 38 yards and the game’s long touchdown. Hykeem Williams, who played wide receiver unlike Taylor, caught two balls for 20 yards during the contest as well.

His status remains up in the air for Week 3 against Houston in the Buffaloes’ Big 12 Conference opener. Injuries caused him to miss time last season, and will hope to be back on the field sooner rather than later.

2025 is Miller’s third season with Colorado. During that time, he’s only played in eight games for the Buffaloes thanks to injuries. During that time, Miller has totaled 22 receptions for 489 yards and two touchdowns.

His most productive season was his first, catching 11 passes for 234 yards and a touchdown during his freshman campaign. In 2024, Miller produced similar numbers having caught 10 passes for 214 yards and one touchdown.

With the Buffaloes down in numbers, Colorado will have to fill in the gaps ahead of Saturday’s matchup against Delaware. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and will air live on FOX.

Colorado is a a 23.5-point betting favorite to win over Delaware, according to BetMGM. The over/under point total is set at 49.5 points.
