Depth chart projections for TE
81 Cameron Latu (RS Sr.)
45 Robbie Ouzts (So.)
88 Miles Kitselman (So.) OR 84 Amari Niblack (Fr.)
85 Elijah Brown (Fr.) OR 87 Danny Lewis (Fr.)
Quick thoughts: I’ve seen some speculation that Kitselman will leap Ouzts for the second tight end spot, but I’m just not seeing it. Sure, I believe the JUCO product shores up the depth, but Ouzts played as a freshman and showed a lot of progress in the spring. As long as Latu is healthy, I could see him working more as a “move” tight end with Ouzts as the traditional in-line guy. Also, keep an eye on Niblack. He needs to continue adding mass, but he could be a situational receiving tight end who acts more as a big-bodied mismatch at receiver.
