Following the Future: Alabama commits in action (Oct. 19-20)
The majority of Alabama commitments will suit up this week for critical games on their schedule. There are heavyweight showdowns, region/district/league games; some who are hoping to remain undefeated and others looking to bounce back from losses.
On Thursday, Class of 2024 cornerback commit Zabien Brown and the Mater Dei Monarchs improved to 8-1 after a 55-13 win over Orange Lutheran. 2025 running back pledge Anthony Rogers and the IMG Academy Ascenders (7-0) defeated Gray Collegiate Academy by a score of 53-7; Rogers had two touchdowns in this contest.

Five-Star Plus+ QB Julian Sayin, Carlsbad High School (Calif.): The Carlsbad Lancers (8-0) will play host to La Costa Canyon (5-3) on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
No. 1 ATH Jaylen Mbakwe, Clay-Chalkville High School (Ala.): Clay-Chalkville (7-0) will also look to stay undefeated when they travel to Oxford (6-1) on Friday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
No. 1 TE Caleb Odom and ’26 OL Zykie Helton, Carrollton High School (Ga.): Carrollton (7-1) has a home game against Westlake (6-1) on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

No. 1 Interior OL Casey Poe, Lindale High School (Texas): The Lindale Eagles (4-4) have a road game at Palestine High School (3-4) on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Top 100 S Peyton Woodyard, Bellflower (Calif.), St. John Bosco High School: St. John Bosco (7-1) travels to JSerra Catholic (4-4) on Friday. 7:00 p.m. is the scheduled kickoff time.
Top 100 DL Jeremiah Beaman, Birmingham (Ala.), Parker High School: The Parker Thundering Herd (7-1) plays host to Minor HS (2-5) on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Four-star LB Sterling Dixon, Spanish Fort (Ala.) High School: Sterling Dixon and Spanish Fort (6-2) will take on Robertsdale (0-7) at home on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Four-star WR Rico Scott, Harrisburg (Pa.), Bishop McDevitt High School: Bishop McDevitt (8-0) has a home game against Mifflin County (4-4) on Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Four-star WR Amari Jefferson, Chattanooga (Tenn.), Baylor High School: The Red Raiders (6-2) will face off against Montgomery Bell Academy (3-5) on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Four-star S Red Morgan and three-star DL Isaia Faga, Phenix City (Ala.) Central: Central High School (7-0) travels to Auburn HS (6-1) for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff on Friday.
LB Cayden Jones, Arden (N.C.) Christ School: Christ School (1-6) will play host to the Cannon/Concord Cougars (5-3) on Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Four-star interior OL William Sanders, Brookwood High School (Ala.): Brookwood (1-6) will look to snap a six-game losing streak when they travel to McAdory (4-3) on Friday. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
Four-star interior OL Joseph Ionata, Clearwater (Fla.), Calvary Christian Academy: Calvary Christian (5-2) is seeking their fifth straight win. The Warriors host Lakeland Christian (5-2) on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Three-star TE Jay Lindsey, Butler (Ala.), Patrician Academy: The Saints (5-3) have a home game against Clarke Prep (6-3) on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Three-star S Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., Gadsden (Ala.) City High School: Gadsden City (5-3) heads to Lee HS (4-3) for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Friday. The Titans have won their past two games by a combined total of 98 points.
Three-star LB Quinton Reese, Birmingham (Ala.), Ramsay High School: Ramsay (6-2) is seeking their sixth win in seven games when they face off against Hayden HS (2-5) on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Punter Anderson Green (Preferred Walk-On), Tuscaloosa (Ala.) Northridge High School: Northridge (1-6) heads to Hueytown (4-3) for a 7:00 p.m. game on Friday.
2025 Alabama Commitments
Four-star OL Mason Short, Evans High School in Georgia: Evans High School (3-4) will play host to Glynn Academy (6-2) on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
OL Dontrell Glover, Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes: Langston Hughes (5-2) is back on the gridiron after their second bye week of the season. The Panthers will head to Newnan (3-4) for a road game on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Alabama commitments not in action: CB Jameer Grimsley (foot injury), LB Justin Okoronkwo (season over) and LB Myles Johnson (recovering from torn ACL), as well as DL Antonio Coleman, WR Jaime Ffrench, and WR Ryan Williams (team byes).
