Gators Online has learned of another major addition to Florida’s visitors list for the LSU game.

DJ Lagway, one of the elite 2024 quarterbacks, is returning to the Swamp next Saturday. The highly-regarded junior, as well as his father, informed GO of the family’s plans on Sunday afternoon.

Last week, we hinted at this possibility and now it’s official. Lagway was also in attendance for UF’s matchup against Kentucky, Friday Night Lights, and took another visit to campus back in March.

Florida, USC, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Clemson and Baylor make up Lagway’s top 10. The in-state Aggies, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, are trending with odds of nearly 66 percent.

According to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Lagway ranks as the No. 5 quarterback and No. 31 prospect regardless of position.

“Coach O’Hara is a really good coach who knows the game and he’s the best in the country, so I’m really excited to see what they do,” Lagway previously told On3’s Sam Spiegelman. “My relationship with the coaches are top tier, one of the best I have with any coaches on or off the field.

“The atmosphere, the family atmosphere seems real. It feels like they’ve been there 10 years,” he said of Gainesville. “They just got there, but I’m excited to see where this program is heading.”

Scouting report on DJ Lagway

Strong-armed quarterback prospect who possesses a thicker build with solid measurables for the position. Checked in at 6-foot-2.3 and 225 pounds during the camp circuit prior to his junior season.

Lagway has the arm strength to make throws at every level of the field, including ones from the far hash. Efficient with his movements in the pocket and comfortable working outside the pocket. Arm talent shines when forced to throw from multiple arm slots or off-platform.

Will need to continue progressing with his accuracy as a passer – completed 55 percent of his passes as a sophomore at under seven yards per attempt. A touted two-sport athlete who has also received multiple Power Five offers as a baseball player. — On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power
