One of Florida’s top flip targets in the 2024 class no longer is committed to Arkansas. Jadan Baugh the 4-star running back from Decatur (Ga.) Columbia, de-committed from the Razorbacks on Monday night.

That leaves Florida and Alabama as the teams left standing in this recruitment.

Monday’s move came as no surprise.

Sunday night, Gators Online reported the following: “We feel strongly this will come down to the Tide and Gators”

Baugh officially visited Alabama last weekend.

“Everything about the visit was nice,” Baugh’s father, Corey Bryant, told Bama Online . “The highlight of the trip, I would say, was hanging out at Nick Saban’s home and kind of getting to know Coach a little better. All the facilities, the education, the training, the mental health, the strength and conditioning… all of that was state of the art. We were impressed with the campus. I was impressed with the condition of the campus; it was immaculate. We were impressed with the campus. Viewing the practice, we were impressed.”

For Florida, much of the Gators’ hopes rest on the fact Baugh and his family have built a great relationship with Gators running backs coach Jabbar Juluke.

Jadan Baugh visited the Gators earlier this month

Baugh officially visited Florida two weeks ago.

“We got to talk to coach (Billy) Napier, (running backs) coach (Jabbar) Juluke and the rest of the staff, and honestly, I had fun the whole weekend. I definitely see myself at Florida making a big impact and developing a lot too,” Baugh told Gators Online.

Freshman Florida running back Treyaun Webb was Baugh’s player host.

“The whole time he was telling it’s real special here,” said Baugh. “He said coach Juluke treats you like a son. He said, ‘You can definitely come here and make a big impact.’”

The Gators focused on the strength of their running game on the visit.

“They run the ball a lot,” Baugh said. “(Coach Juluke) said throughout the whole weekend that numbers don’t lie. They have two running backs in the top 10 for rushing.”

At this time, there may not be a clear leader between the Gators and Tide.

Baugh, who is listed at 6-foot-t, 215 pounds, is the No. 26 running back in the country for the On3 Industry Rankings and is No. 21 per On3.

He committed to Arkansas on May 19.

But the Gators, wanting a second running back in the class to go along with 4-star recruit Kahnen Daniels of Mississippi, continued to recruit him throughout the whole year.
