Billy Napier has landed his first commitment as head coach of the University of Florida.

Christian Williams, who had been committed to Louisiana, has announced he will be attending the University of Florida instead. Napier extended a scholarship offer today.

A product of Missouri (Texas) Fort Bend, Williams is currently en route to Gainesville for an official visit. That is the program that produced cornerback Avery Helm as well.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Williams checks in as a three-star prospect and the 109th-ranked interior offensive lineman in the On3 Consensus Rankings. He is the 69th-ranked interior offensive lineman on On3.

Prior to receiving the green light from Napier, Louisiana was the only offer on the table for Williams. He is eighth prospect in Florida’s 2022 class.
