Throughout the week, Gators Online has been reporting that Jaden Rashada‘s family was hoping to schedule an official visit to Florida for June 7-9. That has been their preference since the California native took a multi-day visit last week. They were just waiting on confirmation from Billy Napier’s staff.

According to a source close to the situation, that official visit with the Gators is now locked in.

At the time, we also reported that Florida is now viewed as a top-two option. Nothing has changed there, as the Gators are considered a major player here for highly-regarded signal caller.

“I believe in coach Napier and coach O’Hara, their QB development and getting guys ready for the next level,” Rashada recently told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

With a commitment date of June 18, Rashada is planning to take several additional official visits as well.

From June 3-5, Rashada will be officially visiting the Texas A&M Aggies. That will mark his first-ever trip to College Station. Jimbo Fisher’s program is still on the hunt for a quarterback after former commit Eli Holstein recently committed to Alabama.

After departing College Station, Rashada will then return to Baton Rouge for his official visit with LSU. Brian Kelly’s program welcomed him to campus in late April as well. Those three programs are a part of Rashada’s top seven.

Rashada is the No. 58 overall recruit and No. 7 quarterback in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Scouting report on Jaden Rashada

Thinner-framed passer with impressive arm talent that keeps his cool when facing pressure. Has the arm strength to drive the ball downfield and into tight windows. Possesses the functional movement skills to escape the pass rush. Three-level passer who has the ability to layer the football.

Productive player last season throwing for 2,220 yards and 27 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. Can be inconsistent with his ball placement, but showed flashes of improvement in camp and 7-on-7 settings this spring. Should develop quicker processing with more reps in the same offense after playing in three different systems.

Played his freshman season at Liberty HS before transferring to IMG Academy for his sophomore season. Transferred back to California and played his junior season at Pittsburg HS.

On the older end of the spectrum for quarterbacks in his class. Has the physical tools and arm talent to become the face of an elite-level power five program. — Charles Power, On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings
