The NCAA released its latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) findings on Tuesday, where the University of Florida excelled across the athletic program.

A top-five public university according to US News & World Report, the flagship school in Florida continues to climb the rankings.

The APR provides a real-time look at a team’s academic success by tracking eligibility and progress toward graduation of each student-athlete on scholarship. The current report contains multi-year rates based on the four years from the 2018-19 academic year through the 2021-22 academic years.

Florida once again impresses with latest APR findings

The Gators athletic program ranks higher than the national average, scoring 986, above the four-year NCAA rate of 984. 13 of Florida’s sports teams ranked over the NCAA average in their respective sports.

“Today’s APR is another example of the dedication Gator student-athletes show in the academic arena,” Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin said. “This weekend, we will applaud many Gators who achieve their goal of earning a University of Florida degree.”

Florida Gymnastics and Volleyball scored a perfect 1,000 score. Both gymnastics and volleyball went on to win SEC Championships this past season. Women’s Swimming and Diving narrowly missed the perfect 1,000 mark, scoring a 998.

Florida Football scored 977, nine points higher than the NCAA average of 968.

Men’s Basketball had a score of 995, well above the average of 967. Baseball had a score of 11 points over the NCAA average of 977.

Only Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Golf, Soccer, Men’s Swimming & Diving, Women’s Tennis and Men’s Track and Field finished under the NCAA average for their sports.

The University of Florida met requirements for additional revenue distributed by the NCAA based on its student-athletes academic achievement.

To qualify for the 2023-24 postseason, teams must achieve a 930 four-year APR, which each of Florida’s sports teams surpassed.
