ATHENS, Ga. — Where has the time gone? It is week 12 of the 2023 College Football Season and Georgia has a 10-0 record. The Bulldogs are ranked No. 1 in both polls and No. 2 in the College Football Playoff rankings with a real chance to be No. 1 when they are updated Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET. It’s also game week for UGA’s final SEC game of the season.

Georgia is set to take on No. 13 Tennessee on Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET on CBS). The game will take place inside Neyland Stadium, a place where Georgia hasn’t lost since 2015 and the Bulldogs are the early 10-point favorite.

Before we get to that point, Kirby Smart will get behind the podium at Georgia media day. DawgsHQ has boots on the ground and we’re providing live updates from that session with the UGA beat. Use the refresh button on your browser to see the updates, as we post them, below.

*** Smart calls this Georgia’s toughest week of prep of the year. The Volunteers have a unique offense and the defense is so much improved. He also calls Tennessee’s special teams “elite,” and says that it clear how much time the Vols spend on it.

*** Smart says he believes his offensive line has gotten better throughout the season. Says there have been some games where it didn’t play that well but that some of that has to do with who you are playing against.

*** Smart is very vague about Julian Humphrey’s injury. He didn’t speak in specifics. He says that Humphrey has an upper-body injury and is “dinged up.” Says he isn’t sure when Georgia will get him back. It certainly sounded like he expects him to miss some time but then he finished by saying “you never know.”

*** Smart says he got what he expected out of CJ Allen on Saturday. Mentions how much Allen has played this year and that the staff has confidence in the true freshmen.

*** Dylan Fairchild’s play has been pleasing to Kirby Smart, who also shouts out Micah Morris. Says that Fairchild has gotten a lot of valuable experience and has grown up.

*** When asked about the key to winning on the road, Smart says you have to find ways to run the ball. Says you can’t abandon it or try and reinvent the wheel. It comes down to doing some basic football things.

*** Smart says he’s proud of where Daylen Everette is right now. Says he has a lot of confidence in Everette and believes he’s going to get better the more he plays. Mentions how some of the stuff Everette has given up lately is because he has been challenged a lot. Teams aren’t going after Kamari Lassiter.

*** Smart mentions how the cornerbacks behind Everette and Humphrey are coming along and growing. They get a lot of work and a lot of reps and they are growing.
