Kentucky entered tonight’s contest against Florida with a -5 turnover margin, the second-worst mark in the SEC. In two quarters, they turned two Florida turnovers into 10 points.

Daveren Rayner tipped a pass to Ty Bryant on the opening Florida possession, setting up a Jacob Kauwe 39-yard field goal. The turnover bug bit Kentucky next. A Ja’Mori Maclin muffed punt gave the Gators a short field, which they quickly turned into a touchdown.

The good news? The Gators gave it right back.

Lorenzo Cowan forced a fumble that was recovered by Cam Dooley. It paved the way for Kentucky quarterback Cutter Boley to connect with Jason Patterson for a 15-yard touchdown pass, his second of the night. His first one was a beautiful ball to JJ Hester.

Boley did not have one more touchdown pass in him, but he did have one more touchdown drive. He made a couple of incredible throws to the sideline, driving the Wildcats 54 yards in only 5 plays to set up a Seth McGowan touchdown.

But wait — THERE’S MORE!

Quay’sheed Scott picked off a long pass and returned it 55 yards to get the ball into the red zone. Unfortunately, Boley got stripped from behind, keeping at least three points off the board.

The wild half wasn’t over. Daveren Rayner got ANOTHER pick with 12 seconds on the clock. On the next play, Boley threw an interception. Insanity.

Kentucky gets the ball first to start the second half. A touchdown would take all of the wind out of Florida’s sails.
