One final mock draft roundup ahead of tonight's 2025 NBA Draft

The 2025 NBA Draft is almost here. We’re less than 12 hours away from the start of this year’s two-day draft. The first round will be held tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN/ABC, while the second round begins on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN. Both rounds will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Do I like the new two-day format? Of course not! But for those who follow the Kentucky men’s basketball program, there’s reason to stick around and watch both rounds. A pair of former Wildcats have a very good chance of hearing their names called over the next couple of days. Shooting guard Koby Brea and center Amari Williams both continue to trend as projected second-round selections.
For Brea, it’s a matter of how high he’ll go in the draft, not if he’ll get drafted at all. Some mock drafts have him in the 30s — the same range ESPN’s Jay Bilas slots him. Meanwhile, Williams is below Brea in the vast majority of mocks, but most of them expect him to get scooped up before the draft ends. Keep in mind there are only 59 picks in this year’s draft — 30 in the first round and 29 in the second round.

It certainly feels like Brea and Williams are the most likely ‘Cats to get drafted. Jaxson Robinson will have a chance after sneaking in several workouts with NBA teams last week. Robinson, who suffered a season-ending wrist injury late in the 2024-25 campaign, was cleared for contact earlier this month. His name is not being mentioned in any recent mocks, though. Andrew Carr and Lamont Butler will also hope to find a home, although that will likely come as undrafted free agents.
After sifting through eight notable mock drafts — all updated within the last 24 hours — I’ve listed where Brea and Williams are projected to land. Only two mocks do not include Williams. When we average out these predictions, Brea’s expected draft position is 39th (Raptors), while Williams’ expected draft position is 51st (Clippers).
