Michigan is getting ready to close the chapter on another early signing day.

But a few questions marks remain as a handful of targets will be making their decisions today. So let’s have some fun. After all, isn’t that what following recruiting is all about.

Here are the best case and worst case scenarios as well as what will really happen on this joyous holiday known as signing day.

Best Case

Everything goes right for Michigan.

The Wolverines kick off the morning by landing four-star Phenix City (Ala.) Central wide receiver Karmello English, who sides with Michigan over Kentucky. This was a 50/50 battle going into the day, so it’s an extremely impressive win for Ron Bellamy and company.

On300 defensive back Jyaire Hill pulls a Michigan hat from under the table and does sign with the Wolverines after leaving U-M out of his Top 5 this week. Hill is known as a bit of jokester, and his biggest prank yet gives him some recruiting glory.

Michigan keeps the momentum going by pulling off some surprise flips, stealing Top 100 athlete Jeremiyah Love from Notre Dame and four-star defensive back Aaron Gates from Florida. The Wolverines even take it a step further and flip four-star tight end Brennan Parachek away from Michigan State.

All of U-M’s commits sign and nobody waits for the late window.

Worst Case Scenario

Everything goes wrong for Michigan.

English starts the morning off by picking Kentucky over Michigan, sending The Fort into a state of disarray. Multiple threads pop up about Michigan’s weak NIL game on the recruiting trail.

Love and Gates stick with Notre Dame and Florida, respectively. There are no flips at all this year.

Michigan commit Enow Etta decides that NIL will be a factor and instead joins Collins Acheampong at Miami. The Fort continues to meltdown and those close to Michigan’s NIL program continue to say ‘soon.’

Hill ends the day by picking Illinois and says he played U-M this entire time. I get fired for my terrible predictions.

What Will Really Happen

The English recruitment could honestly go either way. If Michigan wins the battle, it’s a huge way to kick off signing day as English is at the very top of the board. If it loses the battle, it’ll certainly hurt, but Michigan should hold its head high. The Wolverines did everything possible to get back in this recruitment late.

I’m not guaranteeing that Michigan will have a flip today, but I do think there is a chance for a surprise. We’ll see as the day continues to run its course.

I do think Hill is pulling a recruiting prank and will side with Michigan to end the day. This has been a long journey, but from everything I’ve been able to gather, U-M has done enough here.

All of Michigan’s commits sign early, including Etta.

I don’t get fired.
