Glenville (Ohio) High four-star cornerback Bryce West is closing in on a decision, and it’ll come between Michigan and Ohio State. The nation’s No. 56 overall prospect canceled his weekend official visit to USC. Now, it’s all Wolverines and Buckeyes, with West set to take an official visit to Ohio State next weekend. He had his official trip to Michigan last weekend.

“It is a battle between Michigan and Ohio State,” West told On3. “I had a great visit to Michigan, I go back to Ohio State next weekend, then I make my decision. I am thinking early July is when I will know.

“It will be a very hard decision. The race is very tight between the two schools right now. It comes down to the coaches, how I fit in with the guys on each team, who I see myself playing with, the fit and things like that.”

West expanded on Michigan in an interview with College Football Edits.

“They always shows me so much love when I’m there,” he said. “The Coaches make me like a priority. Seeing how the Michigan fans on social media want an Ohio guy to come play for their school is special. It shows that they welcome people with open arms.”

Michigan’s commits have been hard after West, both behind the scenes and on social media.

Michigan graduate wide receiver Cornelius Johnson will be featured on the next episode of Those Who Stay. In the clip below, he discussed his decision to come back for another season in a winged helmet.

Quote Of The Day

“I loved it. It was my favorite visit I’ve been on by far. It’s really not close. The city is beautiful. I connected well with Coach (Sherrone) Moore and Coach (Jim) Harbaugh. The facilities were awesome. The weight room is the biggest in college football. It’s my favorite that I’ve seen.”
