On300 2025 Michigan offensive line target Will Black helped lead Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall to a 44-14 blowout win over Deerfield (Mass.) Academy on Saturday afternoon.

Black Recruitment
Michigan extended an offer to Black after seeing him at practice during the spring evaluation.
The Wolverines hosted him for an unofficial visit this summer and impressed him during his time in Ann Arbor.
“It was great,” Black said. “We got to see the football facilities and the locker room. I talked to Coach (Sherrone) Moore for a while, and he talked about Michigan and what it had to offer. We also did a photoshoot. I went out for dinner with the tight ends coach (Grant Newsome) and my mom. It was great to see everything.”
Black happens to be a teammate of 2024 Michigan defensive line commit Manuel Beigel. And yes, the two have talked about teaming up at the next level.
“If I ever have a question about Michigan, he answers,” Black said. “He tells me all about Michigan. He’s not trying to force me or pressure me. He’s leaving it up to me. But it would definitely be cool if we both went to Michigan. He committed to Michigan right away, but I’m going to take my time.”
At 6-foot-7, 285 pounds, Black is ranked as the No. 14 offensive tackle and No. 204 overall prospect nationally, per On3. He is also ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Connecticut for next cycle.
Michigan has three verbal commitments in its 2025 recruiting class in Top 100 Miami (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna defensive back Chris Ewald, On300 Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot quarterback Carter Smith and four-star Howell (Mich.) High defensive lineman Bobby Kanka. The class is ranked No. 10 nationally, per the On3 Industry team recruiting rankings.
